Good Afternoon! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 80, but it feels like 81. Highs will continue to range between 71 and 87 with lows between 50 and 61. There is a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms on Thursday and a no rain chances for Wednesday. I do suspect that these precipitation chances will increase as time gets nearer. At this time, the main threat for the South will be heavy rain and flash flooding since the storm system will be a slow mover. Most of the severe weather will occur along the Gulf Coast and back into Texas and Louisiana. However, there could be a few severe storms. Main threats with the severe storms will be large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. Rainfall amounts between 1-3 inches is expected with localized amounts of more than 3 inches are possible. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 77 and it feels like 77. Todays high is 83 with a low of 60. Mondays high is 85. Hope yall are having a wonderful Sunday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning. Continue to pray for the tornado victims and those affected by damaging weather events.
