Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 53 and it feels like 53. Highs will continue to range between 61 and 78 with lows between 49 and 57. Rain is in the forecast from Thursday through next Tuesday. Precipitation chances are between 30% to 70%. The main threat from this system will be heavy rain/flash flooding. However, there could be isolated severe storms with small hail and gusty winds being the main threats. Rainfall amounts between 1-4 inches will be possible with 4+ inches in isolated areas. At this time, it looks like Sunday will be the best chance for heavy rainfall across North MS. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 53 and it feels like 53. Todays high is 72 with winds out of the South-Southeast at 15-25mph. Tonights low is 55 with a 30% chance of showers late. Thursdays high is 77 with a 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms. A Flash Flood Watch or Flood Watch could be issued later today or by Thursday morning. Hope yall are having a great Wednesday and I'll have another post tomorrow morning. Continue to pray for the tornado victims and those affected by damaging weather events.
