Good Morning! At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 35 and it feels like 35. Highs will continue to range between 41 and 63 with lows between 16 and 46. There is a 50% chance of showers today and a 40% chance of showers early tonight. Saturdays high is 41 and a low of 16 with winds out of the North-Northwest at 15-25mph with higher gusts. Going into Monday/Monday night, North MS and other parts of the South may see winter weather. Increasing moisture and lingering cold air may bring an accumulation of snow and/or ice to portions of the Midsouth especially along and north of I-40. It is too early to determine the amount of accumulation, but the system will bring the best chance for winter precipitation since early December. It will be interesting to see if this turns out to be right or not. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 35 and it feels like 35. Todays high is 52 with a 50% chance of showers. Tonights low is 30 with a 40% chance of showers early. Saturdays high is 39 with winds out of the North at 15-25mph with higher gusts. Hope yall are having a great Friday and I'll have another post tomorrow. Continue to pray for the tornado victims and those affected by damaging weather events.
