At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 62 and it feels like 62. Highs will continue to range between 56 and 68 with lows between 33 and 51. There is an 80% chance of thunderstorms today with a 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms tonight. All rain/storms should be moved out by early Sunday morning or late tonight. Severe weather will remain minimal today, but a few storms could be strong to severe. Main threat will be strong winds with any storm that does become severe. Heavy rain/flash flooding will be the primary threat today. Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches with isolated amounts of 3+ inches will be possible (especially if storms train over the same area for a long time). At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 57 and it feels like 57. Todays high is 66 with a 100% chance of thunderstorms. Tonights low is 47 with a 60% chance of showers. Sundays high is 58. Hope yall are having a great Saturday and I'll have another post tomorrow. Continue to pray for the tornado victims and those affected by damaging weather events.
