Warm with rain later today, severe weather expected late Thursday

Good Morning! A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 9am this morning for parts of North MS. Visibilities of one quarter mile or less expected at times. At Smithville, MS, the current temperature is 36 and it feels like 36. Highs will continue to range between 49 and 76 with lows between 24 and 58. There is a 30% chance of PM showers today, a slight chance of rain tomorrow, a slight chance of rain on Thursday, a slight chance of rain on Friday, and a slight chance of rain on Saturday. Some storms could be strong to severe late Thursday into Friday with main threats being for damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes, heavy rain of 1-3 inches, and flash flooding. Dr. Greg Forbes, the severe weather expert at The Weather Channel, is giving a TOR:CON (Tornado Condition Index) of a 4 for Thursday. This means there is a moderate chance, 40%, of seeing a tornado within a 50 mile radius. At the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS, the current temperature is 36 and it feels like 36. Todays high is 67 and a low of 56 with a 30% chance of PM showers. Wednesdays high is 68 with a slight chance of rain.

Now, for your tropical update. In the Atlantic, all is quiet with no development expected over the next couple of days. In the Eastern Pacific, all is quiet with no development expected over the next couple of days. In the Western Pacific, all is quiet with no development expected over the next couple of days. In the North Indian Ocean, all is quiet with no development expected over the next couple of days. In the Southern Hemisphere, Tropical Disturbance #13F has winds of 35mph with a pressure of 1003mbars. Also, in the Southern Hemisphere, Tropical Disturbance #12 has winds of 30mph with a pressure of 1001mbars.
