Atlantic still quiet, new wave moves off Africa

After a busy last few weeks, it seems that things have quieted down in the Atlantic. The only 'excitement' to be had is a new wave that has just moved off the coast of Africa. Convection in the wave is limited and certainly not organized. Development is not expected, but we will continue to monitor the system if only for a lack of anything else to watch.

Nice wave about to roll off Africa, but it will experience the same conditions that made 98 go poof for now. Don't put too much weight on it developing.

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IN THE VICINITY OF THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS

unless the Diurnal cycle kicks in it's dead I hope this isn't another 94L

94L became Dolly.

yeah its struggling but remeber if it maintains that low it can always regenerate tstorms. thats the key keep some convection up so the llc doesnt get destroyed.

Yeah, it wouldn't want to be striped to a naked swirl...

well lol I dont see a TS tomorrow but I guess it still has a chance of getting to TD.
Maybe it will just survive until it gets out of the colder water and then develop

98L still needs to get out of the cooler SSTs. This system still has a very long way to go. For the NHC to take it serously, it must build (or at least maintain convection during Dmin hours)...
