Wind Gusts

What a fantastic day yesterday to get out and breathe some moist, humid, warm air. We went shopping and we got a bit wet, but it was great to feel the humidity again and walk around on pavement that wasn't covered with ice!

We went to the Gap Outlet here in Holland and the rain was just pouring down on the roof. It sounded like spring. The day after Christmas crowds are already gone and it was an easy time to shop and find a parking space not too far away. The stores were filled with merchandise and my daughter found the things and sizes she was looking for. I bought a 14.99 sweater to wear back to school on the 5th.

We walked around outside, but didn't make it to the beach. The ice is still covering all of the gravel areas. Our pool cover fell in on one side overnight. It looks like the waterfilled tubes that hold the cover on have melted and the big block of ice in the pool has pulled the cover in. I guess it wont really hurt anything and there isn't much that can be done until the pool water defrosts...yeah, right. (In 4 months!)

Cinnamon bread french toast this morning with breakfast sausage links...yum. I just have to wait for everyone to get out of bed! Have a good day WU friends!
