29F and calm/overcast skies here this morning.

We are having our big Christmas Feast here at my house this afternoon. Everyone will be gathering to celebrate with a traditional turkey dinner and all of the delicious trimmings.

I am fixing my grandmother's sage dressing to stuff in and around the bird as it cooks this morning. We will have mashed potatoes, gravy, buttercup squash, sweet potato casserole, cooked cranberries, rolls, peas and onions and I baked a chocolate cake with orange filling for dessert. I will get the punch bowl out and fill it for the kids and the rest of us will sip Asti and toast the good and the bad from the year. My sister and her family join us for the festivities = we are grateful for our 5 healthy sons and daughter that are here today!

Then...Christmas will be over and we are looking forward to the future. This will be a great week of celebrating just being together before we are again separated in the new year! this week will be all about embracing each day! Hooray!
