y'okay HS? Looks like you finally got your wish, brother. I picture you and yours playing in the white fluffy, while those around you lament the changes in your environment.

Enjoy, mon. It's your time o' the year.

Got sneaux yet, Heavy?

There were rumors that we might get some flurries tonight (!)but the precip cleared out before dark and the temps haven't even dropped down to freezing yet.

No sneaux for us.

YO CRAB!!! Obug is with me now. She's been put to work doing a snow dance but no luck so far. She'll be seeing the sights of DC soon. Good to hear from you my Cayman brother! I hope all is well. The little heavies aren't so little any more. Life is good! Need snow soon!

Heya HS!

No snow here either. It would be apocalyptic if it ever did snow here, but I'd momentarily be the happiest camper in all the land.

Sooooooooooo, do you have Obug with you now? If so, my recommendation is to put her to work. She doesn't eat much, drinks lite, and works all day with nary a complaint.

Good to read you mon; it's been a long time.

Currier and Ives

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

Hi Heavy. I've been transplanted to the southeast from the midwest. Enjoyed your igloo pics and thought I would pass along a couple of mine. I wish I had taken more over the years but the memories last a lifetime.

Taken from inside (this was in Iowa circa 2001)

The view from outside

This was from a trip I made to Iowa from Florida during the Christmas holidays. They had a 12" snowfall a couple of days before my arrival. Nothing like spending a day piling all of the snow out of the yard into a large mound. I'm standing on a small ridge that's elevated about a foot higher than where the igloo was. It was about a 6' high pile of snow.

HEY BUG!!! Good to see you too. I hope you and yours are also doing well. Heavy Jr. is almost as tall as Mrs. SkinnySnow and the other two are growing equally as fast. Perhaps I'll get some pictures up here soon. Sooner if it snows but that's not looking too good at the moment. D'OH!

Hi, Heavy!

I thought about you the other day and figured it was that time of year and you might pop up at any time.

Hope things are doing good with you and yours.

Bet the little Heavies aren't so little anymore, are they?

You're as tall as my wife. Maybe a bit taller if you're telling the truth. She rounds up! I'm more middle school size. Lucky China. I won't give up on snow until May!

I hope you get some decent snow.. Not seeming real snowy so far in your area. November snow anomalies & the trend is holding China got buried yesterday in ridiculous snow.

I'm 5', most kids are as tall as me by the time they are 9 or 10..

Quoting Skyepony:
Mine won't stop growing either. One is almost as tall as me..okay, I'm kinda short but still.

We should meet and have a "short" off!

Dreaming and wishing and praying for snow.

HS,
LOL. Funny, too, how, as the children grow older, so do we. Even after my move east, I follow the Seahawks when I can. What do we have in offing? A wild card slot? Haha. I'll have to keep better tabs on the NFL goings on.

Wishing the best of everything this holiday season to you and yours. (Including snowfall. :))

Skye,
I am tall and I'll never forget the day my son stood taller. He grew to 6'4".

Your Seahawks must lose.
I've insisted that the children stop growing. So far, it's not working out.

It's almost 70 here right now. November was 3 degrees below normal but snowless. The snow will come.

LOL. No snow?
Just caught the end of the game. All is not lost. At least the Redskins won.
:)

Almost reached 80 here today. Stiff south wind. Great weather. I think winter plans to wait until January to show up.

Glad to see your blog active. Hope you get snow so we can see pics and maybe get another glimpse how the children have grown.
