Wisconsin Weather Update

Posted by: HaleStorm, 12:50 PM GMT on May 20, 2013 +0
Scattered showers and thunderstorms through Wednesday. Slight risk of severe today and tomorrow.
A warm front is stretching across northern Wisconsin this morning, placing us under the “umbrella of warmth” ahead of a trailing cold front in the eastern Dakotas. Temperatures may reach the 80-degree mark today, but the brief sunshine will be smothered by clouds and scattered storms, which are expected to develop this afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has us under the “slight risk” category for severe weather both today and tomorrow so be on the lookout for threatening weather.

Cold morning sunshine. Clouds, isolated showers later. Warmer tomorrow.
We are just starting to recover from either a Frost Advisory or a Freeze Warning last night, depending on where you live, and you can really feel the chill in the air this morning. Thankfully this cold May weather is about to end, and not because it’s changing to June. A southerly wind will soon greet us ahead of a storm system to our northwest, and this will start bringing warmer air int...

Partly cloudy and pleasant today and tomorrow. Showers late Wed/Thurs. Cooler weekend.
An area of low pressure to our southeast, currently centered in Tennessee, is swirling a large area of clouds stretching through parts of Iowa and Wisconsin. Eventually these will move to the east and we will have even more sunshine to enjoy, but you may see a few clouds this morning as well as scattered about later today. Temps should stay slightly above normal for a few day...

A cold front stretching from north-central Canada is going to develop scattered showers and thunderstorms across Wisconsin. Most of the rain should fall later today, although an isolated shower this morning is possible. Southwestern Wisconsin is under the slight risk category for severe weather both today and tomorrow, but the rest of Wisconsin’s storms should stay below severe levels. ...

Light rain this morning, more tonight, then light mix ends tomorrow afternoon.
A cold front is very slowly moving across the upper Midwest today and tomorrow, and warmer air is expected today with a southerly wind ahead of the system. We may see some rain showers this morning, then more develops tonight and lingers through tomorrow afternoon, changing over to a light mix or snow before ending. It could be much worse as not far from here, Minneapolis is again un...
