Scattered storms today, sunny and hot this weekend.
A weak area of low pressure centered just north of North Dakota will give Wisconsin a chance for showers and thunderstorms today. A large area of high pressure to our south-southeast will try to keep all the precip to our north, but will only have limited success. So the further north you live, the better your chance for storms today, or possibly even severe storms (slight risk). Expect even warmer air to advect into Wisconsin after this system moves through, meaning highs could get close to 90 on Saturday, and quite possibly above 90 on Sunday. Don’t get too used to the heat though, as we will likely cool back into the 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
