Forecast Summary: Scattered thunderstorms later today and tonight. Warmer tomorrow, then slightly cooler through Friday. 80 this weekend?

Today:
Synopsis: Low pressure currently centered in the Dakotas is moving eastward, and its warm front will bring clouds and eventually scattered thundershowers to our area by later today and tonight. Nothing severe is expected.
Conditions: Some sunshine early, then becoming mostly cloudy and windy with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing by late afternoon or evening. Chance of rain before dinner 50%.
High Temp: Near 67 (just a little cooler than yesterday)
Winds: Becoming windy from the southeast.

Conditions: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Nothing severe is expected. Chance of rain 75%.
Low Temp: Lower 50s.

Tomorrow:
Synopsis: Warm air post-warm front and ahead of a trailing cold front will bring temperatures back into the 70s tomorrow. We might see some tropical-ish “popcorn” thunderstorms develop in the afternoon or evening, otherwise enjoy the day!
Conditions: Maybe an early morning rain shower, otherwise partly sunny and warmer. We might see another isolated thunderstorm develop in the late afternoon or evening, but the odds aren’t great for that happening. Chance of rain 25%.
Temps: Highs in the mid- 70s east-central, maybe upper 70s in southern WI.
Winds: Breezy from the southwest, decreasing late.

Extended Outlook:
Wednesday: Partly cloudy and a little cooler. Highs near 70.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 60s.
Friday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 70s.
Memorial Day Weekend: Scattered thundershowers and mild. Highs in the mid- to upper 70s Saturday, maybe even hitting 80 on Sunday and Memorial Day! Isn’t it always cold and rainy on Memorial Day weekend?

Wisconsin Weather Update for May 12, 2014.

Forecast Summary: Mild with thunderstorms today, including heavy rainfall at times and a slight risk of severe. Mostly cloudy and cooler the rest of the week.

Active Advisory:
Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight.

Today:
Synopsis: Another round of thunderstorms rolled into the Fox Valley area around 4am this morning, ensuring that many will be tired and cranky at work today. A strong area of low pressure to our southwest will continue to bring on the storms through tonight.  Some of these storms could produce heavy rainfall, thus the Flash Flood Watch being issued through tonight, and the Storm Prediction Center has placed us in the slight risk category for thunderstorms reaching severe levels, including the threat of hail, strong winds and maybe even an isolated tornado.

Synopsis: Today’s low pressure system moves off to our north, including its cold front, but behind the cold front cooler air will begin flowing into the state. This cooler air will probably linger through the entire week, so you can put away your shorts again until next week.
Conditions: Becoming partly cloudy and cooler.
Temps: Highs in the lower 60s.
Winds: Windy from the west, decreasing a bit late.

Extended Outlook:

Wednesday: Partly sunny. Highs near 60.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Highs in the upper 50s to near 60. Chance of rain 50%.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with more isolated showers. Highs in the mid- to upper 50s. Chance of rain 25%.   
This Weekend: Maybe another isolated shower on Saturday, probably dry on Sunday. Highs near 60 Saturday, in the 60s Sunday.

Forecast Summary: Partly sunny and cool today. Warmer with thunderstorms Tuesday night through Thursday. Severe storms Wednesday?

Today:

Synopsis: A small disturbance is generating a band of showers across northern Wisconsin this morning. An area of high pressure will gradually dissipate these showers this morning, and the few breaks of blue sky this morning will becoming more numerous by this afternoon.
Conditions: Scattered showers in northern Wisconsin, otherwise mostly cloudy in the morning, maybe a sprinkle, but some sunshine this afternoon.
High Temp: Around 56 east-central, upper 50s south.
Winds: Just a small breeze from the east.

Tomorrow:
Synopsis: A developing low pressure system in the central Rockies and Plains will strengthen as it moves east. This system will generate showers and thunderstorms across Wisconsin tomorrow night and continue through Thursday. Warmer air between the warm front and the cold front will bring temps near or above 60 tomorrow, in the 60s Wednesday, and in the 70s Thursday.
Conditions: Partly cloudy for a while, then increasing clouds late. Scattered thunderstorms developing tomorrow night. Chance of rain tomorrow night 50%.
Temps: Highs near 60 east-central, low to mid- 60s south. 
Winds: Becoming more breezy from the southeast.

Extended Outlook:
Wednesday: Scattered thunderstorms and a little warmer. For the first time this year, the SPC has placed most of Wisconsin in the slight risk category for thunderstorms possibly becoming severe. Highs in the lower 60s east-central, upper 60s south. Chance of rain 50%.

Thursday: Scattered thunderstorms continue, but warmer yet. Severe weather on Thursday may stay to our west this time. Highs in the lower 70s east-central, upper 70s south . Chance of rain 50%.
