Wisconsin Weather Update

Scattered rain showers today, colder this weekend.
Warmer and dry next week.

There it is, in a nutshell. Moisture from an area of low
pressure currently centered well to our north, in southern Hudson Bay, Canada,
is going to keep clouds and scattered light rain showers in the forecast for
today, tonight, and maybe lingering into tomorrow morning. While I wouldn’t be
surprised to hear a rumble of thunder, we probably won’t get the cool light
show we had with the storms a couple nights ago. Look for breezy conditions to
kick in tonight and tomorrow as colder air from the northwest keeps our high
temperatures in the 50s this weekend, although we should bounce back into the
60s by Monday.

A large area of high pressure is centered right over the southern tip of Lake Michigan. This system is so large that it’s keeping most of the country sunny and dry today, from the eastern Rockies through the east coast. Temperatures this afternoon will be slightly above normal for this time of the year, which is pretty close to room-temperature. Enjoy!

Conditions: Showers will reenter the forecast Wednesday night and linger through Thursday. We could see a shower on Friday as well, but there’s a lesser chance of that happening. This weekend looks dry.

High Temperatures: Near 80 again on Wednesday, then we drop back down below normal to the low to mid- 60s on Thursday. We may normalize back into the upper 60s and lower 70s for this weekend.

Cloudy with scattered daytime showers, and much cooler.

A cold front is moving through Wisconsin this morning, developing scattered showers across much of the state. These showers should start diminishing by this afternoon, but significantly colder air is going to follow behind the front. Temperatures will have a hard time breaking 70 through the weekend, but we could be back up to 80 by Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of the next storm system.
