Summer 2007 Regular Season Unofficial Final Point Standings
Here are the unofficial point standings that will end the Summer 2007 regular season! Angie finishes up as the top player during the regular season and will get 3 points going into next week's playoff round (which will look very similar to this week except with regular point values). Despite forgetting to play on Monday, Brian F. still maintained 5th place and will get 2 playoff points. There will actually be 11 people in next week's playoffs, as there was a tie for 9th place between Greg and Adam E. And with a perfect week, Deb will also be in next week's playoffs, albeit with no playoff points to start the week. Two seasons ago Dan won it with no points to start, so it's definitely possible!

Important Weather Statement: (Source: National Weather Service)
Northern Wisconsin:
Freeze warning in effect from 1 am to 7 am CDT Saturday...
Temperatures will fall into the 30s this evening... and drop below
freezing after midnight.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation. Cars and other vehicles could be damaged if
they are not protected with antifreeze.

Southern Wisconsin:
Frost advisory in effect from 1 am to 8 am CDT Saturday...
Frost is expected over much of south central Wisconsin tonight.
A frost advisory is issued when frost is expected to develop
during the growing season. Those with agricultural interests are
urged to protect or harvest tender vegetation. Potted plants
normally left outdoors should be covered or brought inside away
from the cold.

Synopsis: We've definitely reached that time of the year when every warm day is accompanied by a brisk wind, but you have to take advantage of these days because they will be fewer and farther between as we progress into Autumn. Such was the case yesterday, as warm southerly winds ahead of a cold front brought us into the 70s, but behind the front we have colder northwesterly winds which will keep us in the 40s and 50s today. Despite a cool weekend, next week we could be in the 70s and even 80s once again.

Tonight: Mostly clear and cold overnight with frost possible central and south and a full freeze north, lows upper 20s north and lower 30s central and south. Make sure your thermostat is set to HEAT and not COOL!
Saturday: Mostly sunny, highs near 60 north and central, lower 60s south.
Sunday: Partly cloudy, highs upper 60s.
Next Week:
Monday: Partly sunny, windy and warmer, an isolated shower possible late. Highs 76-81. Chance of rain Monday night 25%.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, breezy and warm, highs 81-86.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, scattered showers, highs 78-83. Chance of rain 30%.

Frost advisory in effect from 2 am to 9 am CDT Saturday...
Cold high pressure will build across the upper Midwest tonight.
Attendant light winds and clear skies will yield widespread
temperature readings ranging from the low to mid 30s across the area
by daybreak Saturday. Widespread frost will be possible across
central and south central Minnesota and west central
Wisconsin... including the Alexandria... St cloud... Twin
Cities... Redwood Falls... Mankato... and Eau Claire Wisconsin
communities.
A frost advisory means that frost is possible. Sensitive outdoor
plants may be killed if left uncovered.

This Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada: Sunshine, windy, insert old pool cover joke here, highs upper 90s to near 100.
Wind Advisory in effect from 10 am this morning to 8 PM PDT this evening...
Southwest winds will increase this morning across a widespread
area including much of southeast California and southern Nevada.
Sustained south to southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph and wind gusts
up to 45 mph should be anticipated from late this morning through
this evening across the advisory area. These winds may lift dust
and sand and temporarily reduce visibilities. Motorists should use
extra caution and be alert to rapidly changing conditions.
Strong winds in excess of 30 mph will create dangerous boating
conditions within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area during
the advisory period. These winds will create very choppy waters
and generate large waves which could capsize or swamp small craft.
For your personal safety... operators of small craft are urged to
postpone their outings until the winds subside. If you do venture
out onto the lakes... avoid the open water and stay close to shore
or in protected coves and inlets.
