Scattergories Challenge Results
I had some tough decisions to make! Here are the decisions that made it into the point standings below - if you still would like to debate, go ahead and post on the message board and I might reconsider. Note that anytime you submit an answer with more than one word in it, you run a big risk of it being labeled as an adjective!
Combination Answers Explained:
Raisin bagels/Raisin bread - I will separate these as different answers. However, Raisin is used as an adjective in both cases, describing the type of bagel or bread. Thus, no points are awarded.
Rhubarb/Rhubarb pie - I will separate these as different answers. Two points are awarded to Rhubarb. However, Rhubarb Pie is used as an adjective, as rhubarb is describing the type of pie. No points are awarded for Rhubarb pie.
Ron Wood/ Richards,Keith/ Ryan Hannam - Challenges denied, two points awarded. However, in the future, only last names will count for the starting letter, and going forward, people will not count as "things." I did a search through previous Weather Updates and this rule was not specifically mentioned, so I will accept these today and adjust the rules for next time.
Radio/Radio Row - I'm separating Radio Row from Radio, as this is quite different from a radio, so Radio Row receives two points, but the two people that just said Radio still will not receive credit.
Points Awarded:
Rent-a-cop - Challenge denied, two points awarded.
Rubber - Challenge denied, two points awarded.
Rubbish - Challenge denied, two points awarded.
Relics - Challenge denied, two points awarded.
Ragout - Challenge denied, two points awarded.
Rusks - Challenge denied, two points awarded.
Rarebit - Challenge denied, two points awarded.
Razors - Challenges denied, two points awarded.
Points Not Awarded:
Rotunda - Challenges accepted, no points awarded. (Not present at the site)
Ring-sizer - Challenges accepted, no points awarded. (Not likely present at the game)
Red liquorice - Challenges accepted, no points awarded. (Adjective)
Rock cakes - Challenges accepted, no points awarded. (Adjective)
Raised donuts - Challenges accepted, no points awarded. (Adjective)
Reggae hairdo - Challenges accepted, no points awarded. (Adjective)
Rice Chex - Challenges accepted, no points awarded. (Adjective. Note that brand names also will not be accepted going forward)
