At 4:00 AM PhST, Tropical Storm Igme (Tembin) located at 17.7°N 124.7°E or 300 km east southeast of Aparri, Cagayan has 10 minute sustained winds of 45 knots with gusts of 55 knots. The cyclone is reported as moving north slowly.

Estimated rainfall amount is from 5-15 mm per hour (moderate to heavy) within the 500 km diameter of the tropical storm.

Tropical Storm "IGME" is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon that will bring light to moderate rains over rest of northern Luzon ( particularly Benguet, Baguio, Pangasinan, La Union, IIocos Provinces) central and southern Luzon especially over the western section.

Residents living in Northern Luzon especially in low lying and mountainous areas are alerted against possible flash floods and landslides.

Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the eastern Seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon due to big waves caused by Tropical Storm "IGME" and the southwest monsoon.

The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 11 AM today.

The Strong Wind Signal, No. 3 is in force.

This means that winds with mean speeds of 41 to 62 kilometers per hour are expected.

Typhoon Kai-tak was estimated to be about 330 kilometers southwest of Hong Kong and is forecast to move west-northwest in the general direction of Leizhou Peninsula.

Kai-Tak continues to move away from Hong Kong.
