Well hello out there in Wunderland. It's been a bit since I last surfaced here on Wunderground, and the inauguration of my new station & website seems about as good a reason as any to check in and share whats been going on lately.
Over the past 6 months, I've moved out from Studio City to my new home in Simi Valley. Things just got way too complicated with the landlord and so I I decided I didn't want one anymore. I wound up purchasing my first home here in Simi and promptly set about putting up a brand new Davis Vantage Pro2. So nice. Still need to secure it a little bit more, but it'll do for now. Right now the only issue with the way it's mounted is inaccurate rain measurements, and I doubt that'll be an issue until later this year.
So with summer coming up, I'm eager to see just how different the micro-climate here is from the south-central San Fernando Valley. I'm sure the air quality is better, but the heat? We shall see. I'm NOT looking forward to the cooling bills associated with the summer months...
