New weatehr station for MD50 CRE airport
Posted by: GlobalHawk, 10:44 PM GMT on November 24, 2012 +0
I recently installed a new PWS weather station to my home airport. My wife, MaryBeth, and I live on a community airport with the FAA designator "MD50". It's about 60nm south of Washington DC. The picture shows the Davis Instrument Vantage Pro 2 "ISS" or Integrated Sensor System. I find that amusing, because we call the sensor package on my work jet the "ISS", Integrated Sensor Suite". Uh.. I think the work jet's ISS costs a *little* bit more. On that, I set out wiith a $2000 budget in mind to set up the weather station, and I have spent about $1700 so far. This is great, I am ahead of the game as far as budget goes.
