Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the cape area was the only location on the peninsula to see any clouds in the past 24 hours. This morning the entire Sea looks to be clear of any clouds.
Looking over at the Mexican Riviera I can see that low trough off west of Manzanillo is still producing a lot of moisture laden clouds that are drifting toward the mainland. It has moved a bit south of the past 24 hours and is forecast to dissipate within the next 24 hours.
Reporting stations only reported traces of rain along the Riviera yesterday and last night.
Right now there are bands of these moisture laden clouds from just south of Manzanillo to the Tehuantepec.
The Tehuantepecker continues today in the Gulf and an ASCAT pass showed Gale force winds exiting the Gulf into the Eastern Pacific Basin this morning. They are forecast to fall below advisory levels this evening and tomorrow but remain in the 25-30K ranges.
That’s what is going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where the Great Northwest will continue to have off and on weather for the next week.
Northern California will be brushed by one these systems today and see mostly light rain and a dusting of snow in the higher elevations.
Southern California will have another series of cold fronts move through the region today through Wednesday. Tomorrow will be the best chance that the southland will see any rain and mountain snow.
High pressure should then start to build over the state on Wednesday.
Looking now over to the southwest where a series of weather systems will impact the region over the next 5 days. The first is moving though Arizona today followed by one on Tuesday and another on Thursday. Each system will bring a chance of valley rain and mountain snow to southwest Arizona. Cooler weather and gusterly conditions will accompany each passing system.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like today and the next two will be very pleasant wind-wise. Light to moderate winds are forecast for the entire Sea.
With the lower pressure in the northern Sea, even though my forecast is for northern winds this morning, I’d be surprised if we did not have southerlies until this afternoon in the central Sea.
Along the Riviera, south of Manzanillo, it looks like they will continue to see some rain producing clouds today and most likely by tomorrow morning that area of disturbed weather will be history and clear skies will prevail over the region.
Temperatures today will again be in the mid to high 70s and low 80s around the cape.
