Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see where starting yesterday morning clouds from that Pacific storm starting passing over northern Baja and during the day as the front sagged south the clouds kept edging south until by early this morning they had blanketed the entire peninsula.
This image is showing the light bands of showers started passing over the peninsula around midnight and continued for several hours. Here at my palapa at el Burro we had a few sprinkles at 3am this morning. At around 5:30 and around 7am another band passed over Concepcion Bay again bringing light sprinkles. I’d doubt it if there was any measurable rain during the night any place as most of the rain bands were very narrow and moving quickly east.
This morning it looks like the west coast of the peninsula is now clear and just remnant clouds will be passing over this morning. It looks like it should clear over southern Baja by late this morning.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera this image is showing the southern crossing and Mazatlan have some remnant clouds from this system and it looks like they will be clearing by early afternoon.
Looking further south it looks like the coast will be pretty much clear all day south to the Tehuantepec.
The bay of Tehuantepec has solid cloud cover this morning from clouds moving up from the monsoon tough. The ITCZ/monsoon trough is fairly activity this morning from about 110 to 115N.
Due to the strong gradient between the Gulf of Mexico and the Eastern Pacific Basin fresh to strong winds will persist in the Gulf over the 3-day forecast period. They will be just below advisory levels.
That’s about it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where at the top to this image I can see that the Storm door is open for the Great Northwest. A series of systems are lined up out in the Pacific that will bring rain and mountain snow all week to northern Oregon and all of Washington.
High pressure is starting to build over Northern California and I can see some cloudiness north of the Golden Gate but the forecast is for clear skies and dry weather for the rest of the week into the weekend.
For southern California skies started to clear early this morning and now most of southern California is clear. San Diego will have some lingering cloudiness until later in the morning.
Looking now over to the southwest where they have had some light bands of showers pass over overnight. Today it looks like it will be cloudy most of the day as the clouds surrounding the low that is still off the Baja coast to swing north.
There will be another system drop into Arizona from the Great Basin tonight keeping the cloudiness in the region until this weekend. Not much chance of any rain except in the higher elevations.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence. One of the California forecasters said the low would be centered over the Baja Spur by later today. I have never heard that location before and was unable to Google it. Anyone that knows where this is, let me know after this summary.
It looks to me that the low will continue south a bit before moving over the Baja peninsula later today and this evening. It looks like most of moisture will be spent and it will slowly dissipate by late tomorrow. We’ll see?
Wind-wise the Sea will be very pleasant today will mostly light winds. The Sonoran coast should have light winds with a southern flavor. The central Sea mostly easterly and light NW for the southern Sea.
It looks to me that the northern Sea will clear first this morning, then the central Sea later this morning and the southern Sea early this afternoon.
Sunrise temperatures in most locations for the Sea were up a few degrees today. Today’s highs should also be up a few degrees into the high 70s today for the Sea. The Riviera ballpark mid 80s.
