Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that starting late yesterday afternoon isolated patches of mostly whispys started passing over the Baja peninsula from about Puerto Escondido south. These are coming from an area of convection along the ITCZ/ monsoon trough out between 120 and 130W.
This image is showing that area getting larger and producing more clouds and they are first moving north the drifting east toward mostly the Baja peninsula this morning.
It looks like one of these bands is passing over the Puerto Escondido area and the Concepcion Bay bay. They are a mix of whispys and fluffys with dark bottoms.
The northern Sea looks pretty much clear this morning.
Looking south I can see that isolated bands of whispys have been passing over most to the Riviera last night and will probably continue must of the day today.
Looking now at the Tehuantepec where 15-20 knot winds are surging through the Chivela pass into the Gulf of Tehuantepec this morning and will continue all day rapidly increasing to gale force by tomorrow afternoon and be just below storm force tomorrow night. This Tehuantepecker will diminish to gale force by Friday and by Saturday the winds in the Tehuantepec will be in the 20 knot ranges.
That’s about it for down here so looking now north to the west coast of America where at the top of this image I can see a weak front moving into Washington that will bring rain to the state today.
Off shore I can see a big honk’n low moving down from the Gulf of Alaska that will impact the Great Northwest on Friday bringing significant rain to the coast and snow to the mountains.
Northern and southern California will see warming temperatures today and tomorrow as high pressure builds over the west coast.
Friday that low I just mentioned will arrive in the Great Northwest bring significant rain to the north coast and snow to the mountains.
It will quickly dive down the west coast and by Friday night give cause to what the real meteorologists are calling a significant Pacific storm for California.
It looks like the main impact with this storm will be heavy rain and high elevation snow. The heavy rain could cause flooding in the south land. The National Weather Service is advising folks with outdoor activity planned for this weekend to be advised that this storm could be dangerous with blowing winds and very cold temperatures.
Looking now over to the southwest where they will have another cold start to the day. It should warm up a few degrees this afternoon and tomorrow then a series of low pressure systems will then bring a chance of valley rain and mountain snow this weekend and early next week.
Back down here across the border it looks like we will have another day of strong winds in the Sea diminishing tomorrow afternoon. Perhaps as early as tomorrow morning. It looks like the winds will blow all night especially in the northern sea.
Temperatures this afternoon will remain on the cool side and be in the mid to low 70s in most locations around the Sea today
