Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see the northern and central Sea have just a scattered mix of isolated fluffys and whispys drifting around this morning.
The southern Sea from about Puerto Escondido to La Paz still has a lot of remnant clouds in the area from thunderbumpers that came over from the Mazatlan area.
AT 4am this morning there was a big honk’n thumper centered on Mazatlan with heavy thunderbumper activity from Cabo Corrienties north to around La Cruz extending out into the southern crossing almost all the way to the east cape.
Remnant clouds from this storm are scattered around the southern Sea this morning.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera I can see there has been and still is a lot of thunderbumper activity all along the west coast of Mexico south into Central America all night long.
The thunderbumper activity extends well into South America as well this morning.
The folks with the tropical models and the PHDs are still expecting the monsoon trough to become more active and better organized over parts of Central America and SE Mexico during the next couple of days. This will bring in abundant tropical moisture and the potential for heavy rain, flash floods and mudslides in the hills and mountains.
A similar condition happened several years ago with a resulting mudslide burying an entire town.
OK, that’s it for our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where Portland and Seattle will see light rain this weekend but the rest of the west coast is dry and under a cooling trend.
This will last until the weekend when the low off the west coast weakens and allows the high currently over the plains states to move back to the west and rebuild.
In the meantime big-time fog from about Turtle Bay to the Oregon border this morning that probably won’t be clearing until early afternoon.
Temperatures today will be 10-20 degrees cooler than last week at this time for most locations along the west coast.
Looking inland and over to the southwest I can see that dry air has pushed most of the moisture to the east of Arizona. There is still a slight chance of afternoon thunderbumpers mainly on the east side of the New Mexico border through Friday.
This weekend, with the return of high pressure over the Great Basin, Arizona will see the return of their afternoon and evening monsoonal showers and thunderbumpers. This weekend will also usher in hotter daytime temperatures through the middle of next week.
Back on this side of the border everything should be just about like yesterday. The northern Sea: Light southerlies. The Central Sea: Moderate northerlies: The southern Sea (Puerto Escondido to La Paz) light southerlies. The East Cape: Light northerlies.
The local fishermen are finally catching limits of nice size dorado.
Temperatures in the mid to high 90s today.
