Voice to Text……….
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that we had a few whispys pass over the northern portion of the Sea last night but this morning it looks like the entire Sea is pretty much cloud free.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera this morning I can see there are no clouds along the coast or approaching the west coast of Mexico this morning.
Looking south to the Tehuantepec: There are no advisories however this morning they will be seeing 25 knot gusts as a cold front passes to the east in the Gulf of Mexico. The next couple of days look relatively calm.
Looking at the ITCZ this morning I can see an area of fairly heavy thunderbumpers working between 140 and 150 however they are not much in the way of cloud producers. Looking back along the zone over toward Costa Rica where the zone crosses land there is very little activity this morning.
Looking out into the Eastern Pacific Basin where there is a light east/west upper flow in the basin this morning moving the whispys in the basin toward Hawaii rather than toward Baja for a change.
That’s it for our hood so looking north now to the west coast of America where at the top of this image the systems just keep rolling into northern California and the Great Northwest.
This current one will be bringing more rain and mountain snow to both the cascades and the northern Sierras today.
In Northern California San Francisco and Sacramento and the foothills will be seeing rain until the weekend.
The best chance for rain in the extreme southern California will be this weekend where a low has been forecast to develop off the coast and move ashore perhaps Saturday. The Los Angeles area could see some rain on Wednesday as the tail end of a northern system brushes the area. We’ll see?
In the meantime the marine layer alone the southern California coast will keep things a little cooler. Sunshine in the inland empire with temperatures about the seasonal norms.
Looking now over to the southwest where it will be warm and dry all week. This weekend a Pacific low system is forecasts to move on shore then inland bringing breezy to windy conditions to the southwest. It will be cooler; on Sunday perhaps 20 degrees cooler than this upcoming Wednesday. The white mountains will probably be the only place any rain will fall as this system passes to the east.
That’s what’s going on to the north of us. Back across the border, here in Baja, from Gonzoga bay south all the reporting stations reported at least 80 degrees yesterday afternoon. The northern Sea was in the high 70s. We are finally starting to feel the affects of the approaching spring. Today with the southern flow in the Sea the afternoon temperatures will inch a bit higher.

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
