Voice to Text……….
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that most of the Sea has had drifting high clouds passing over for the past 24 hours. These are multi-level clouds and are a mix of whispys and fluffys, mostly whispys. There are enough out there to offer partially cloudy conditions for most of the Sea today, again mostly whispys.
They are emanating from a hot spot on the ITCZ around 115. They drift northeast toward Baja and to a lesser extent the Mexican Riviera. There is not a lot of moisture in this wide scattered band of clouds. No jet stream support again today so they are sort of meandering over the area.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera this morning it looks like from about Mazatlan to Puerto Vallarta will see the bulk of these high clouds today.
Looking further south to the Tehuantepec where the Tehuantepecker season is in full swing. Trying to find a window this time of year is always iffy. Today is no exception. Satellite imagery is showing 20K winds this morning however gale force winds will be funneling through the Chivela pass later this morning and Voila you’ve got another Tehuantepecker brewing. This one should be of short duration and back to around 20 knots by Friday.
Looking now at the ITCZ which is running around 8 north this morning. I mentioned that hot spot around 115. There is another smaller flair out around 135. There is just a moderate amount of clouds moving northward into the Eastern Pacific Basin from this area of convection.
Off to the west of Hawaii I can see a long narrow tropical plume that extends from the western Pacific into the Gulf of Alaska this morning that is staying to the west of that Pacific high off the Oregon coast.
This high will start to weaken today and slowly start it’s migration to the east. With this blocking high out of the way, by late in the weekend the next Pacific storms will be able to reach the west coast.
That’s it for down here so looking back to the west coast of America where the entire west coast is under mostly clear skies and seasonally warm weather.
This pleasant weather should last through the weekend then that Pacific high that has been blocking storms for almost two weeks will be out of the way and a nice honker will be dropping down from the Gulf of Alaska on Monday. Right now it looks like next week the west coast will be cooler and wet.
This morning southern California is seeing the end of the very moderate Santa Ana wind event. It will however remain breezy there.
Looking now over into the southwest this morning where they will see some cooling as a result of that passing system yesterday. High pressure will rebuild today and provide the area with dry conditions and near to slightly above normal temperatures for the rest of the week.
Back down here across the border it looks like we are in for a few days of brisk to strong northerlies in the afternoons. Tomorrow should see the strongest for the 3 day forecast period. Today the central Sea will see ballpark 20 knots in the afternoon, add 5 knots to that for tomorrow.
The Sea will have occasional overcast conditions today as these scattered clouds move in from the Pacific.

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
