.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that there were some passing fluffys in the northern Sea last night that have now moved off to the east.
The cape also has some passing fluffys last night. This morning there are some passing mix of whispys that are moving down the west coast of the Sonoran coast that look like they will pass off to the east later this morning. Looking off the west coast of the Baja peninsula it is also clear out there so sunshine looks like the order of the day today.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera I can see there has been a mix of passing whispys and fluffys in the past 24 hours from about Manzanillo south and it looks like they will continue today.
These clouds are emanating from convection along the ITCZ about 110.
Looking further south to the Tehuantepec: A cold front moving though the Gulf of Mexico is causing brisk winds to funnel through the Chivela pass into the Gulf of Tehuantepec today and tonight. Gale force winds are forecast with seas to 12 ft. This will be a short duration wind event and the winds will be back around 20 knots by Sunday evening.
Taking a look around the basin this morning I can see pretty much solid cloud cover from just off the Baja coast out to Hawaii. These clouds are coming from a very active area of convection about 130W along the ITCZ. The past several days these clouds have been moving toward Baja however today there seem content to stay centered in the basin.
Well, that’s about it for our hood so looking north to the west coast of America where starting at the top of this image I can see that a nice honker has moved down from the Gulf of Alaska and will be bringing rain and snow to the streets of Seattle this morning. Slush!
As this system moves south along the coast rain will reach as far south as La La land. This afternoon snow levels will drop to around 3500 feet in the Sierras as well as the southern California mountains.
Winter Travel advisories have been issued for travel on I5 and the Grapevine. 50 mph winds are also forecast for the higher elevations.
Now taking a look at the southwest. That high pressure over the Great Basin will move east today resulting on one more dry day across southwest Arizona. The models have been very consistent in showing low pressure moving through northern Arizona early tomorrow morning with a trough extending southward in the Sea of Cortez. This system could bring a chance of showers to the northeast of Tucson.
Behind the system Monday night into Tuesday morning widespread freezing temps are expected with much of the southwest experiencing the coldest temps of the season. Squirrels will be ice skating on Bob’s bird bath up in Herford Arizona next week.
Back down here in Baja it looks like our weekend will be pleasant however high pressure rebuilding in the Great Basin and a cold front moving through the area will give cause to another round of Northers Monday and Tuesday. So enjoy the weekend.
This morning, here at my palapa, it was 54 degrees at sunrise. That is 11 degrees cooler than the average sunrise temp for November. Looking at all the sunrise temps this morning they were all a few degrees cooler than yesterday. San Felipe was 38 degrees this morning. That’s Willy Chilly. It does not look like it is going to warm up this weekend either. Daytime highs will be in the mid 60s to the low 70s along the east coast of the Baja peninsula.

73s Y'all

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
