After the Sonrisa Weather it’s back to work.

This summary and the daily postings are now posted on the Sonrisanet webpage usually by 8:30 MDT daily.

The following is from my daily ham radio Report

Voice to Text……….
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that there has been a lot of clouds drifting over from the mainland from about the northern crossing south to the cape overnight. Right now it looks like the entire stretch along the Baja coast is overcast. In the loop mode I can see there has not been any thunderbumper activity associated with these clouds either in the Sea or over on the mainland. They will however have some dark bottoms and a chance of a sprinkle or two is entirely possible
These clouds are not particularly thick and I’d imagine that they will burn off by at least mid morning.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera where there has been considerable thunderbumper activity in the past 12 hours the heaviest between Mazatlan and Manzanillo. I can see there was a big honker between Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta several hours ago.
Further south all along the mainland coast there has been sporadic thunderbumper activity all the way south to Central America.
Looking now at the ITCZ: Again this morning there is not a lot of convection along the zone past about 120.
As far as anything tropical you have to look over into the Atlantic and I can see 4 tropical waves heading our way. They are several days away and the good folks at the National Hurricane Center are saying there will be nothing cooking in our tropical kitchen for at least the next 48 hours.
While I’m looking at the Caribbean I can see that TD2 made landfall near the Texas /Mexico border yesterday afternoon and is working it’s way inland. It is dropping a lot of rain in the same area that Alex was last week. It should weaken to a low by this afternoon.
I thought I’d try the fog seeing satellite again and this morning it is showing a fairly thick fog bank from Turtle Bay bay to central California. According to Carl IUZ at Mag Bay there is no fog so what I’m seeing must be fake fog.
That’s about it for down here so looking now north to the west coast of America where the Great Northwest is having a heat wave and southern California is experiencing June Gloom. Southern California could see some thunderbumper activity in the mountains and lower deserts this weekend.
Over in the southwest Arizona where it is hot and muggy this morning. Tucson will hit 103 today and Yuma 110.
Abundant moisture is coming in from the gulf and I can see there is a long line of moisture laden clouds moving up the Sierra Madre Occidentals into Arizona. Added to that is the moisture from TD2 and it looks like this weekend Arizona will finally be seeing some monsoon activity.
Back down here this weekend we should see brisk southerlies in the 20-24 Knot ranges during the afternoons, however today will remain delightful with pleasant afternoon breezes. This canopy of overcast skies should start to clear off from the east by midmorning and our temps this afternoon will again be in the mid to hight 90s today in the central Sea and high 80s low 90s in the southern Sea.

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
