After the Sonrisa Weather it’s back to work.

This summary and the daily postings are now posted on the Sonrisanet webpage usually by 8:30 MDT daily.

The following is from my daily ham radio Report

Voice to Text……….
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that we still have some clouds drifting over from the mainland. Looks like a light mix of whispys and fluffys.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera I can see that they have been getting a lot of thunderbumper activity from Mazatlan south to Central America. It looks like there was a big honk’n thunderbumper just south of Mazatlan early this morning.
I can also see the giant swirl of Hurricane Alex over Northeastern Mexico this morning. It looks like the Sea of Cortez could and probably will see brisk southeasterly winds in the northern and central Sea tomorrow as the gradient between the Sea and Alex increases. All the models are now showing brisk winds in the central Sea however they all disagree as to how much. I’m thinking probably no more than 25 Knots tomorrow and a bit less on Saturday. The strongest winds should be along the Sonoran coast. Sunday is a bit iffy right now but probably less than 20. We should have a pleasant 4th of July
As long as I’m talking about Alex here is the latest update.
Himicane Alex made landfall along the coast of northeastern Mexico yesterday afternoon near Soto La Marina which is about 110 miles south of Brownsville Texas as a cat 2 himicane. Winds were in the 105 knot ranges. The state of Chiapas was reporting over 8 inches of rain. Oaxaca 12 inches. I have not seen any reports of damages yet.
` Back in the Eastern Pacific Basin things are fairly calm with nothing cooking in our tropical kitchen right now and none forecast for at least the next 48 hours.
There is a tropical wave that has just entered the basin, but satellite imagery can’t determine the exact location because of the heavy thunderbumper activity along the coast of southern Mexico and Central America.
Looking now north to the west coast of America where it is foggy along the coast and hot inland in the 90 degree ranges.
I can see monsoonal moisture moving up from the Gulf and central Mexico into New Mexico again this morning. Most of the heavy thunderbumper activity will be in the mountains in eastern Arizona today. Temps in the southwest will continue to be in the triple digits.
With the exception of the thunderbumper activity along the Riviera it looks like today is shaping up to be another warm summer day with a few clouds and very moderate winds. Many locations will top 100 degrees today.

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
