After the Sonrisa Weather it’s back to work.

The following is from my daily ham radio Report

Voice to Text……….
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea is pretty much free of any clouds. I can see some scattered whispys here and there but that is it.
Looking to the south to the Mexican Riviera I can see that the Pineapple Express has slipped further to the south in the past 24 hours and the northern extreme is about Acapulco this morning so it looks like most of the Riviera will also be seeing abundant sunshine. It looks like yesterday though there were a number of passing cells that were squall producers. Several cruisers confirmed this with reports of squalls & lightning shows along with 35 knot winds.
Looking out into the Eastern Pacific Basin along the ITCZ I can see another plume building about 140 and heading for the Riviera. The leading edge is about 600 miles to the west of Mexico right now and the southern jet will pick this up as well. The jet is about 90 knots this morning so it should arrive along the Riviera sometime late this afternoon or tonight. We’ll see?
Looking now further to the south to the Tehuantepec where North to Northeast winds of 20-25 knots continue in the bay and downwind into the basin. They are forecast to diminish to less than 20 Knots within 24-36 hours as the pressure gradient over the area weakens.
Before leaving the area I noted that at 4:13, our time, a 5.4 earthquake occurred 60 miles south of Tonga this morning.
That’s about it for down here so looking now north to the west coast of America where there is a cold low system spinning off the northern calf coast that should arrive in northern California later this morning and work it’s way down the coast and arrive in southern California by this evening.
It will be bringing rain and possible thunderbumpers to southern California along with mountain snow over 5,000 ft.
The southwest today will continue to have warm dry weather then that cold Pacific storm will arrive late tomorrow bringing valley rain and mountain snow to the Tucson area. The unsettled weather is forecast to continue into early next week.
Currently there is a weak cold front that dipped down from Alberta yesterday into Northern Arizona. It is forecast to do a “Crazy Ivan” and retreat into Utah bringing significant snow to the Salt Lake area this weekend. This does not have anything to do with our weather it’s just an interesting, rather unusual condition.
It looks like this Pacific storm will sweep through northern Baja tomorrow night and produce rain along the northern Baja coast as far south as Turtle Bay. As the front moves east across the northern sea tomorrow night I would not be surprised if the northern Sea got a little rain. I think the clouds will extend to about Santa Rosalia. By Sunday morning it should be into northern Sonora.
Today the Sea of Cortez will be seeing brisk southerlies with the strongest in the central Sea, say in the 15-20 knot ranges. The southern Sea much less, say less than 15 knots.
All in all it should be a great day with abundant sunshine for both the Sea and the Riviera.
And finally this morning, my good friends Famous author and long time Sea of Cortez cruiser Jinks along with hubby Mad Dog finally made it across from Guaymas in their new boat and are now in Santa Rosalia and heading for Punta Chavato today. If my forecast for the Sea is not correct today I’m thinking I’ll end up a pervert or a villain in one of her books.
73s Y'all

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
