After the Sonrisa Weather it’s back to work.

The following is from my daily ham radio Report

Voice to Text……….
.Before looking down into the Sea at today satellite images. I wanted to explain what happened in the Sea yesterday. What should have happened was to have that low just off the California coast move swiftly across southern California into the southwest and move off to the east by this morning.
Here is what really happened. Two lows developed and forked. One pretty much stayed on track and the other dipped down into the Sea of Cortez. My bar here in El Burro dropped from 1013 at 10 O’clock to 1008 at 2 O’clock. Heavy clouds filled the skies for most of the sea and looking at the 24 hour loop it looked like there were a few areas of heavy showers. Bob at Los Cardinas reported a water spout at 1pm.
Just one more reason to take a look outside after listening to my weather forecast. SOMETIMES I’M WRONG.
Ok, now looking at today’s images. I can see a few lingering fluffys at the far northern end of the Sea this morning. This image is showing the southern cold front has moved over into northern Mexico and into Texas this morning. The other fork is moving through Arizona this morning. Mountain snow and valley rain are forecast as this system exits the southwest today.
High pressure will fill in as these systems move out to the east and it looks like the western conus will be under a blanket of high pressure for the rest of the week.
Long ranges models indicate another period of rainy weather is possible starting late next week.
Looking at the rest of the Sea it looks pretty much cloud free with some isolated fluffys here and there.
Looking south to the Riviera it looks like they will be getting some Pineapple Express action today as an area of convection is building about 120 along the ITCZ and a weak jet is picking up this moisture and pointing it at the Riviera this morning from about Cabo Corrienties south to Acapulco.
It looks like there are some other scattered clouds that will be seen along the Riviera today form Mazatlan to Cabo Corrienties that look more like cirrus, whispys.
Looking now to the Tehuantepec the 20-25 knot winds there are forecast to diminish to below 20 knots today and for the next 48 hours.
Looking further south to the ITCZ where there is not a whole lot of convection there this morning however it appears to be building. We’ll see?
That’s it for Baja and the Riviera so looking now north to the west coast of America where looking out into the Pacific I can see the systems moving across the top of this image. The Great Northwest looks like it will be keeping mostly wet for at least the next several days.
The rest of the conus, from the Oregon border south will have building high pressure and mostly clear skies into the weekend.
There are a couple of weak systems that move into California in the next couple of days bring mostly clouds with not much chance of any rain.
Meantime back down here in Baja the TRUCK ARE RUNNING AGAIN ON MEX 1. It will take some time to repair the 5 bridges that have been damaged by the recent storm but detours have been established and traffic is not running both north and south along Mex 1 from the cape to San Diego.
It looks like today will be a pleasant day in and around the Sea of Cortez. Skies APPEAR to be clear and the winds APPEAR to be on the light to moderate side. Remember sometimes I’m wrong. Probably not today though.
Sunrise temps in the Sea were all up a few degrees this morning and today’s high should be in the low to mid 70s.

73s Y'all

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
