After the Sonrisa Weather it’s back to work.

The following is from my daily ham radio Report

Voice to Text……….
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see the residual of that plume of clouds that passed over Baja yesterday hanging around the cape this morning. They should see some whispys from La Paz south to the cape this morning.
The rest of the Sea is pretty much cloud free, however one impulse splitting off of the British Columbia storm is running down the California coast and it looks like it will bring some clouds to Arizona and perhaps northern and central Baja. We’ll see.
Looking south to the Riviera: I can’t see any thunderbumper activity along the Riviera for the past 24 hours.
The Tehuantepec isthmus still has a Tehuantepecker brewing there with 35-45 knot winds that will last for the next several days.
So looking further south we still have that area of low pressure about 250 miles south of the Mexico/Guatemala border. Heavy thunderbumper activity there, however the good folks at the National Hurricane Center are saying there is only a slight chance of any development of this system.
Off to the east in the Caribbean, just to the east of Nicaragua is Hurricane Ida that has developed quickly in the past 24 hours. She is moving northwestward toward the Yucatan peninsula. This storm will not affect our weather here in the Sea however as I mentioned yesterday they have a history producing life-threatening flash floods and mud slides. Rainfall in eastern Nicaragua and eastern Honduras are forecast to have up to 25 inches of rain from this storm.
Ok, back to the Eastern Pacific Basin and looking at the ITCZ this morning. That hot spot out about 140 does not have the jet passing over it this morning so there is no northward plume emanating from it this morning like yesterday. And no evidence of a Pineapple Express this morning. The rest of the basin is fairly clear this morning.
So looking north now to the west coast of America where they are about to have a change in their weather as that big honk’n low moves into the Great Northwest. This will be bringing snow to the cascades, Sisques and the Sierras starting tomorrow and into the weekend.
A northwest swell of 20-24 ft will hit the northern Oregon coast Friday through Saturday and build to 20 ft Friday night at about 17 seconds. Breaker heights are up to 30 ft are possible.
The storm will then move through the Great Basin this weekend.
The southwest today will continue to see unseasonable warm temps near record highs today and not be much affected by the storm to the north when it moves through.
On this side of the border in the Sea of Cortez today the northern Sea will see some winds in the 15 knot ranges. The central Sea will be pretty much flat. The southern Sea also very light and variable. The Riviera will see some moderate off shore breezes.
Daytime temps will be a tad warmer today and the overnight low will hover in the mid 60s.
So lots of sun, not much wind. I think the only wind will be land breezes. Good day to move around if you feel like motoring. And it looks like these conditions will be with us into the weekend.

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
