After the Sonrisa Weather it’s back to work.

The following is from my daily ham radio Report

Voice to Text……….
.Well, the god’s eye view is the Sea this morning is showing the Sea to be pretty much free of any clouds.
And looking over to the Mexican Riviera I can see that plume of convection still moving up from the ITCZ into the southern Riviera again this morning. This animated image is showing a nice thunderbumper working over the Acapulco area right now, and broken overcast north to about Manzanillo.
The ITCZ has scattered moderated convection producing some thunderbumper activity with a southern flow out to about 140. It won’t be long before the Pineapple Express makes its annual appearance from the western tropics.
One last look around the basin and all I can see are some whispys between here and Hawaii this morning.
So, looking north now to the west coast of America where that big honk’n low sitting on the 4 corners will be our weather-maker for the next few days. It is bringing cold and windy condition to the southwest and in turn to the Sea of Cortez.
I use three sources for wind forecasts for the Sea and none of them agree as to the strength of these winds for Wednesday and Thursday. I will, or course, use the highest values. I would rather be wrong on the high side than the low.
Here is what MY take is for the next couple of days.
The winds will have a southern flavor SW or WSW today and tomorrow northerlies on Thursday.
Today: the northern Sea, Gonzoga and La Bays will see 25-35K winds from the SSW or WSW. Tomorrow less than 30. Thursday less than 25.
The Central Sea: Today 15-20. Tomorrow 25-30 and Thursday 30-35 northerlies.
The southern Sea: Today Light southerlies, Tomorrow moderate southerlies to 20. And Thursday 15-20 northerlies.

Thurs should be the coldest day with daytime highs in the high 60s, and then start warming back on Friday.
So today would be a great day to check the hook then find a good book and a sweat shirt and set them aside for tomorrow.
Today, as I mentioned, it will be big-time gusterly in the northern Sea, however the central and southern Sea should have moderate southerlies to perhaps 20 this afternoon.
Finally today I noted on Stan’s long range forecast he is seeing the possibility of something tropical developing in the southern basin. I also noted that his wind numbers were considerably lower than my forecast. Remember folks we are mostly working with models that quite often do not agree with each other. It’s nice when they do, but when they don’t I choose to go with the higher values.

73s Y’all

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
