After the Sonrisa Weather it’s back to work.

The following is from my daily ham radio Report

Voice to Text……….
.Looking down into the Sea of Cortez this morning I can’t see any clouds except a few isolated fluffys in the southern crossing.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera it is a far different story. From about Manzanillo to Puerto Vallarta Hurricane Rick has spun off convection that is spawning big time thunderbumpers along this stretch of the Riviera. They have been building since about midnight. Puerto Vallarta has had .16 inches of rain since midnight. This image is showing this area of thunderbumpers increasing and moving to the north which would include Mazatlan. So it looks like they will be getting wet as well.
Now, just about anywhere in Baja, no matter where you go, you are hearing “que passa Ricardo?” What’s happening with Rick?
Himicane Rick is becoming a monster. It is forecast to become a category 5 Himicane within the next 24 hours. The official National Hurricane Center track of Rick is unchanged since the last advisory and is currently forecast to make landfall on Thursday about Mag Bay.
Rick is currently a category 4 storm with winds gusting to 155 mph. He will remain a cat 4 through Monday then Tuesday a three, Wednesday a two and then Thursday as it makes landfall on Baja, a category one.
Currently ALL of the computer models are showing the track to change course from northwest to northeast on Tuesday putting it on a heading toward the peninsula.
This is much too powerful storm not to take seriously. Interest on the central and southern Baja peninsula, either on the water or on land, should be prepared for this extremely dangerous storm. NOW IS THE TIME TO START!
SPECIAL NOTE FOR CRUISERS: During a storm Stan updates every 6 hours on his chubasco forecast page. To receive the updates send an email to query@saildocs.com with the following as the message: sub chubascoforecast interval=1
This will deliver the latest chubasco forecast to your box. Then you just need to get your mail after 0315Z, 0915Z, 1515Z and 2115Z.
Also thanks to brilliant computer skills of Tim on Masquerade the Sonrisa net Webpage now has a complete TROPICAL WEATHER PAGE. To access it go to Sonrisanet.org. Great Job Tim.
Taking a real quick look north now to the west coast of America where there is nothing up there to affect our fall conditions here. Arizona will be seeing temps around the century mark today.
In the meantime, here in Baja our weather today will be pleasant. Winds will be moderate with an eastern flavor and our daytime temps will go up a degree or two.

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavor. They, however, are normally very close.
