3 DAY WINDS FORCAST ON THE WEBPAGE
The following is from my daily ham radio Report
:
Voice to Text……….
.Looking down into the sea this morning I was surprised to see the Pineapple Express has pretty much extinguished its self. This 24 hour loop has it slowly moving south along the Baja peninsula all day yesterday and sometime early this morning it looks like the last patch of fluffys passed over the cape.
And looking out into the Eastern Pacific Basin the next patch of clouds is about half way to Hawaii this morning. So it looks like sun is in store for the Sea and Riviera today with no clouds on the horizon.
Further south there are no advisories out for the gulfs of Tehuantepec, Papagayo, and the Panama area.
Looking now over to the west coast of the Baja peninsula for a marine layer. It looks like there are scattered pockets of fog all along the west coast from about Mag Bay to central California this morning. Along the peninsula it looks like several spots extends inland quite a ways. The Turtle Bay area looks socked in this morning.
So looking now north to the West Coast of America where most of the west coast is partly cloudy to cloudy this morning. Starting with southern California: They should see sun today after the fog burns off. It will remain breezy through the end of the week as a low system moves through. This could bring a chance of showers to southern California on Friday. Winds are the big thing with gusts being forecast to 55mph along the I-5 corridor. They are being forecast to continue through out the day.
It looks like as far south as Ensenada could see some clouds that have been moving down the California coast all night. The same southern flow will bring a canopy of clouds over Arizona and New Mexico later Today.
For northern California rain will start tomorrow around Crescent City and drop down into the Bay Area and the Sacramento valley by early Saturday.
The Great Basin will have a cold front push south through this morning and another starting tomorrow night and lasting into the upcoming weekend. Light snow on the valley floors and heavier snow in the mountains.
For the southwest: We may be seeing some signs of spring. Temperatures are forecast to start inching up this week. However a series of storm systems will move across northern Arizona the rest of the week and will continue to bring breezy conditions to the southwest. Tomorrow another stronger system will develop bringing some cooler temperatures into southeast California, and southwest Arizona and south-central Arizona on Saturday. As this last system passes to the east on Sunday temperatures are forecast to warm up sharply.
Back down here, across the border in Baja, my solar system will be happy to see the sun today. And it looks like there will be abundant sunshine for all of Baja and the Mexican Riviera today.
So today is pretty much a Chamber of Commerce day with light winds, lots of sun and temperatures raising just a bit this afternoon topping off the low 80s in the southland.
And with no gradient for the sea our winds will be thermally driven and that is sort of like Forest Gumps chocolates. You just never know what you’re going to get.
