Satellite Report from this mornings Ham Radio Forecast
:
Voice to Text……….
.Looking down into the sea this morning via this composite Google earth image I can’t see any thunderbumpers working in the sea. I can see a scattered canopy of fluffys from Concepcion bay south.
Looking to the south I can see a thunderbumper working just off shore from Mazatlan and another just to the south of it. Both off shore.
Switching satellites now and putting this image in motion, I can see that the entire western coast of Mexico was a hotbed of thunderbumper activity yesterday afternoon with the flow feeding the monsoon conditions in the southwest.
Over Baja I can see that there were thumpers building from late morning until late afternoon all along the Baja east coast. It looks like there was many spots that had a sprinkle or two.
Here at El Burro I could see showers all around the bay but no rain for us again today. Lots of moisture in the air, so I’m thinking the same thing will happen today with lots of clouds with dark bottoms in our hood. The same for the rest of Baja.
Ok, checking to see what’s cooking in our tropical kitchen. Not much. I can see one tropical wave leaving the basin. Any waves entering the basin in the next several days will have interacted with systems in the gulf and not have much energy. So it looks like we will probably have a few days of no tropical development.
It gives me pleasure to announce that Iselle has plutoed to a depression. I could never pronounce her name anyway. She is currently about 350 miles southwest of the cape.
Looking over at the west coast of Baja now. I can see that a fog bank starts inside turtle bay and hugs the coast all the way to maple leaf country this morning.
So, looking now at the west coast of America. Pretty same O, Same O as the past week, except a potent little low is moving into the Great Northwest this morning. Two days ago they were have a heat wave, this morning they are getting rain. It looks like this rain should last for several days.
For the southwest. Well it looks like they will be having an influx of monsoon moisture from the pacific and Mexico. Monsoonal storms will continue to bring flooding concerns to the region with heavy rain falling from these slow moving storms. The NWS is forecasting as much as 2 inches an hour is possible.
Back down here in Baja we will most likely see isolated afternoon thunder showers. One may actually drop a little rain on el Burro. I have been watching that cell just to the south of Mazatlan move further out into the sea for the past several hours headed toward the cape. This could enhance there chances to fill up some of those southern reservoirs. We gotta keep those golf courses green, you know.

Don't chisel these wind forecasts in stone. This is an amateur Endeavour. They, however, are normally very close.
