Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that moisture plume that stretches from south of Hawaii to the Baja peninsula is still with us this morning.
This image is showing whispys passing over the Sea from around San Francisquito bay south to La Paz and dark bottomed fluffys passing over the cape region south of La Paz. These heavier clouds stretch across the southern crossing to Mazatlan and a bit south.
It looks pretty clear south of Puerto Vallarta this morning.
The Tehuantepec is quiet this morning but another brief wind event is forecast to bring a shot of GALE force winds into the Gulf early Saturday morning.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where a low system will be moving into the Great Northwest this morning bringing in abundant moisture from the Pacific. This will produce moderate rain showers across Oregon and Washington and snow in the Cascades.
In northern California the system will just brush the California border bring a chance of showers south to around Eureka this morning and over northern Sacramento Valley this evening.
The rest of northern California should remain dry through Saturday.
Looking ahead, all models are showing a large low dropping down from the Gulf of Alaska toward the west coast early next week.
A pattern change is expected. Sunday should remain
fairly dry and warm, but wetter and cooler conditions are expected
to arrive by Monday. The low could start bringing light rain to the coast & the northern mountains late Sunday. Showers will then spread southward into Monday into Tuesday.
Looking south, southern California will see seasonal warm weather today and then a low will move across southern California tomorrow bringing a small chance of a showers in the mountains. High pressure returns on Saturday though Monday then a stronger trough of low pressure will arrive next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Looking now over to the southwest where very dry conditions with above normal daytime temperatures will prevail once again today. That Pacific low will arrive tomorrow bringing a slight chance of showers and thunderbumpers into Saturday. It will cool off a bit as the front passed then warm back up early next week.
Well, that’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like another couple of days of southern winds.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.:
The northern Sea: 21 today SE, 17 tomorrow SE and 9 NE on Saturday.
The Guaymas side of the central Sea: 16 today SE, 11 tomorrow SE, and 6 from the SW on Saturday.
The Baja side of the central Sea: 20 today SE, 15 Friday and Saturday for the east.
Puerto Escondido: 18 today from the SE, then 13 from the SE on Friday and Saturday.
The southern Sea, the San Lorenzo Channel, and the nearby islands. 21 today SE, 18 tomorrow SE and 14 on Saturday from the SW.
La Paz: light SE for the 3-day forecast period.
The East Cape: 14 today and tomorrow from the SE and 11 from the NE on Saturday.
The Sonoran passage south from Guaymas to Mazatlan: in general mid teens from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan, 15-16 from the SW for the 3-day forecast period.
Puerto Vallarta: low teens from the NW for the next 3 days.
Cabo Corrienties: light SW today, light NW tomorrow and around 15 from the NW on Saturday.
South of the cape: light to moderate SW breezes for the 3-day forecast period.
73s Y’all

Tomorrow is the big day for the Concepcion Bay bomberos garage sale at el burro south. The sale starts at 8am sharp.
Lots of great items will be on the tables. If you have items to donate bring them by or if you would like sell your own stuff, a small donation will put you in business.
Every run we make incurs expenses in both materials and gas. Without the support of the community none of this would be possible.
See you there!
