Voice to Text

Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see there have been a few bands of whispys pass over the northern end of the Sea in the past 24 hours but that is about it for any cloudiness in the Sea.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera where there has been a thin band of whispys passing over the Zihuatanejo region for the past 24 hours. Just to the west of Zihuatanejo out around 100 miles is a big honk’n high topped thunderbumper. This is a very large cell, perhaps the size of Colorado. I just looked at it and It has moved a bit closer to shore. If it gets any closer the Zihuatanejo are could start to see some cloudiness from this cell.
Looking further south I can see the ITCZ/Monsoon trough is very active this morning with numerous thunderbumper working along the zone. Some of these storms are moving NE off the zone, like the one that has shown up west of Zihuatanejo this morning.
Looking back over to the mainland, high pressure in the Gulf of California will have Gale force winds whistling through the Chivela pass into the Gulf of Tehuantepec starting tomorrow and into Friday. Seas will build to around 11 feet. Right now it does not look like the Tehuantepecker will last into the weekend. We’ll see?
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America of America where high pressure out in the Pacific is keeping the storm track well to the north and providing spring like conditions all along the west coast today.
A low has developed off the coast of Northern Baja and will be moving northward starting today moving into southern California and Arizona over the next couple of days.
It will be bringing a cooler weather and chance of rain, perhaps a thumper or two to southern California tonight. High pressure will start to rebuild Friday with the weekend seeing a warming trend.
Looking now over to the southwest where that Baja low will track into Arizona later this evening bringing mostly some cloudiness. This system has very little moisture in it. What it will bring is some wind as the system gets closer. These winds along with the already dry conditions in the southwest will give cause to a fire watch being posted for tomorrow for the desert southwest. High pressure will rebuild over the weekend resulting in a warm up for the southwest.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like a typical spring day in Baja. Day time highs are starting to warm up a bit. The pool Temperature will slowly start to rise this month reaching the 80 degree mark here in Concepción Bay about the middle of next month.
This will be the last day of those moderate southerlies for a while. Several locations will see gusts to around 20 today but the rest will be in the moderate ranges.
Here are the details for the winds for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: Mid teens today from the SSE then moderate East of NE for Thursday and Friday.
The central Sea from around San Francisquito bay south to Puerto Escondido: high teens today in the 18-20 knot ranges from the SE, then moderate NE winds for the next two days.
The southern Sea: For La Paz and the islands south of La Paz moderate SE winds today then light ENE for Thursday and Friday.
The Sonoran passage from Mazatlan north to Guaymas: light SW from Mazatlan to around Los Mochas today and tomorrow then light WNW on Friday. From Los Mochas north mid teens today from the SW then moderate NW on Thursday and Friday.
The Mexican Riviera: light to moderate WSW today swinging to the NW on Thursday and Friday.
