Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that again the Sea has had another 24 hours of clear skies.
Further south same thing for the Mexican Riviera: clear skies with no clouds on the horizon.
Further south at the Gulf of Tehuantepec after about a week of relatively Calm winds the next Tehuantepecker is forecast to come up Monday night with gale force wind that could last into Thursday.
Looking out along the ITCZ/Monsoon trough where there is very little activity at all this morning. The Eastern Pacific basin is also pretty much free and any clouds this morning.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where there are a lot of clouds off the west coast of America.
At the top of this image it looks like there will be system after system moving through northern Washington over the weekend. Between these systems they are still saying that the good folks in Settle could see a few brief glimpses of sun over the weekend.
Out in the Pacific there is a ridge of high pressure that will be moving east today and arriving along the west coast on Monday. Behind this system is a nice low. The models right now are not in agreement as to where this nice little low will go. North or south. Right now it looks like a coin toss. North, Seattle brings out the galoshes again, or south, southern California could see some coastal rain and mountain snow late in the week. We’ll see?
Meantime the coastal communities of California will see fog lingering in late morning and warm and dry temperatures inland.
Looking now over to the southwest where there is a weak system moving through the Great Basin today that will bring gusterly conditions to much of southwest Arizona today. It will also be a bit cooler this weekend with near normal temperatures. They can expect a mild warming trend next week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence in general it looks like this for the Sea. Light northerlies in the low teens today. Mid teens tomorrow and high teens on Monday.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The Northern Sea: high teens from the NW over the weekend and then dipping to the mid teens on Monday.
The central Sea: ENE today in the low teens. North tomorrow in the mid teens and Monday NNW in the high teens.
The southern Sea: light SE wind around the islands along the san Lorenzo channel and La Paz today picking up to the mid teens for Sunday and Monday from the north.
The Sonoran passage from Mazatlan north to Guaymas: today mostly light WSW for the entire passage. Tomorrow and Monday the winds will swing to the NW and for most of the passage you’re looking at 15-20.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan to Cabo Corrienties light NW today, mid teens on tomorrow and Monday. South of Cabo Corrienties light to moderate SW winds for the 3-day forecast period.
Temperatures in the low to mid 80s today.
