Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that last night a plume of rather heavy wet clouds starting passing over the central Sea and during the night the plume has swung south and is currently spread out from around Santa Rosalia to a bit south of the cape. The plume blankets most of the southern crossing however Mazatlan looks like it only has a few whispys overhead this morning.
Back behind this plume the clouds are not a thick and it looks like the central and southern Sea will have mostly whispys in our skies for at least the next 24 hours.
Looking south it looks like from Puerto Vallarta south the skies are clear all the way to Central America.
Looking now at the Gulf of Tehuantepec where the past week of storms through the region have produced a large area of NE swells spreading downstream. Now extending south of a line from 10N95W to 17N121W between 95W and 121W.
This morning the Gulf will have a brief wind event with gale force winds that will perpetuate this swell in the basin.
Today’s winds will be briefly to gale force and diminish to around 20 knots by tomorrow and then increase to 20-25 by Friday morning.
That’s what is gong on in out hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where off the Washington/Oregon coast is a weather maker low that will be bringing rain and snow first to the Great Northwest then drop south and bring rain and snow to California.
This morning there is a weak system moving through northern California bringing light rain. This evening that low off the Oregon coast and associated cold front will arrive in northern California bringing snow down to 2500 feet with substantial snow above 3000 feet.
Showers will come to an end in northern California on Friday with a ridge of high pressure building off the coast. This should keep the storm track well to the north well into next week.
For southern California as the low descends south they can expect to see occasional light showers today then late Thursday night through Friday night the front will arrive and bring lots of rain and mountain snow down to 3500 feet. Thunderbumpers, hail and windy conditions are possible Thursday and Friday. The system should start to exit to the east on Friday.
Looking now over to the southwest where a gradual cooling trend is in store over the next couple of days before that Pacific storm arrives on Friday. It will bring valley rain cooler temperatures and mountain snow until Saturday morning.
As high pressure starts to rebuild over the region on Sunday temperatures will quickly rebound.
That’s what is gong on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like this pleasant weather will continue through Saturday then starting Sunday it looks like another 3-day blow.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: Moderate NW today. Light SW tomorrow and then around 30 knots on Friday afternoon.
The central Sea: From San Francisquito to Concepción Bay moderate mostly northern winds in the 12-15 knot ranges for the 3-day forecast period.
The southern Sea Puerto Escondido should see moderate winds today and tomorrow and then around 20 on Friday. La Paz and the East Cape less than 10 today and tomorrow then 15-17 on Friday.
The outside passage moderate winds in the 17-20 knot ranges today and tomorrow picking up to the mid 20s on Friday.
Mazatlan to Guaymas 15-17 knots today then 12-15 SW winds for Thursday and Friday.
The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlan 15-17 for the next 3 days. Puerto Vallarta 10-12 NW winds for the 3-day forecast period. Cabo Corrienties south light to moderate SW winds over the 3-day forecast period.
The daytime highs have dipped a bit and are in the high 70s perhaps the low 80s into the weekend.

73s Y’all
