Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the southern jet is reestablishing its self, streaming from the western tropics toward the cape region. It is picking up mostly high cirrus along with a few wet cells along the way. Early this morning there was a wet plume passing over the La Paz area.
Right now it looks like a broken and rather scattered plume will be passing over the cape region and as far south as Cabo Corrienties today. This jet is rather weak and could collapse so I’m a bit iffy about tomorrow but I’d expect to see this region will see passing clouds all day today.
To the north of La Paz and to the south of Cabo Corrienties the skies look to be clear this morning.
Looking out along 7N this morning at the ITCZ/Monsoon trough I can see there several areas where thunderbumpers are working this morning.
The Gulf of Tehuantepec is experiencing very moderate wind this morning and that’s the forecast for the 3-day forecast period.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where off the west coast of British Columbia there is a big honk’n low that will be descending into the Great Northwest today bringing heavy snow to the mountains in the region. Dropping about a foot today over 4000 feet as it moves southeast during the day.
Extreme northern California will see some rain as this system passed mainly to the north. San Francisco south will continue to be dry pretty much though the end of the month, so sayith the weather folks up there.
Southern California will also be dry throughout the weekend. That system that is bringing snow to the Great Northwest today will drop down into the Great Basin tomorrow and the gradient will give cause to strong winds in southern California over the weekend. With high pressure forecast to rebuild early next week they should see a warming trend starting early next week.
Looking now over to the southwest where a trough of low pressure is moving out of the region into Wyoming. As to exits there is a chance that there will be a few light snow showers in the White Mountains. Drier air will overspread the region into the weekend when that pacific storm drops down into the Great Basin on Sunday. As far as any snow, that will take place in northern Arizona around Flagstaff. The effect in southwest Arizona will be gusterly winds late Saturday and Sunday. A slow warming trend is anticipated Monday through the middle of next week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the central Sea will see strong winds to 20 knots today through the weekend.
Here are the wind details for the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea: moderate NW today and tomorrow then gusting to 30 knots on Sunday.
The central Sea will see ballpark 20 knot afternoon winds for the entire 3-day forecast period.
The southern Sea Puerto Escondido south will see 20 knot winds today and tomorrow then Sunday light to very moderate NW winds around La Paz and the East Cape.
The outside passage will see strong 20+ knot winds at the points Abreojos and Pt. San Quinten and the rest of the passage in the mid to high teens over the next 3 days.
The Mexican Riviera moderate NW winds in the 12-15 knot ranges from Mazatlan to Cabo Corrienties. South of Cabo Corrienties mostly light winds from the southwest.
It wont’ be warming up much over the weekend. Temperatures will be mostly in the mid to high 60s in the Sea. Mid 80s along the Mexican Riviera.

73s Y’all
