. Before bringing up the satellites I wanted to mention the full moon tonight. It will be the brightest full moon of the year.
I hope you take the opportunity to reach down inside and let the kid in you give a big howl at the moon as it rises tonight.
Ok. Bringing up the satellites now.
Looking down into the sea this morning I can see that area of convection out about 125 along the ITCZ is still pumping our tropical moisture. Our weather picture has not changed much since yesterday morning with these high cirrus, whispys, passing over most of the peninsula and sea.
The Mexican Riviera will see some of these whispys south to about Cabo Corrienties. No rain is forecast or indicated for our hood for the next few days.
Looking out at the Eastern Pacific Basin this morning. These whispys take up most of the space between here and Hawaii this morning.
Looking at the west coast of the Baja peninsula for any signs of a marine layer this morning. I can’t see any along the Baja coast but it looks like a heavy marine layer extends from Pt Concepción on the California coast north to the Oregon border this morning.
Looking now to the north to the West Coast of America. Polar air currently residing in Alaska and Northern Canada will drop south starting today and blanket the entire western conus by this weekend. Snow levels will drop to about 1000 ft in the San Francisco bay area. Heavy rain including a chance of hail can be expected. It’s very possible that the Sacramento valley floor will see snow this weekend. The Sacramento area and the California delta is blanketed with heavy tulle fog this morning.
For the southwest will continue to have high pressure today and Arizona will see warm temperatures through tomorrow then they will have rain in the valley floors and snow in the mountains into next week.
So it looks like there is a lot more going on to the north of us than down here. Today we will continue to see whispys most of the day, not enough to bother our solar systems, there will be a light mix of fluffys, but mostly high whispys. Temperatures will be in the mid 70’s for the central sea and low 80s for the southern sea and Riviera today. The buffalos are back in the barn and the winds will be light to moderate today in most locations.

Don't chisel these forecasts in stone. This is an Amateur Endeavour. They, however, are normally very close.
