Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the only place there was any clouds in the Sea was at the extreme cape region and they only saw some high whispys yesterday. This morning’s image is showing no clouds in that region or the Sea of Cortez.
The Mexican Riviera coast is clear to Central America as well this morning.
Looking out into the Eastern Pacific basin it is also pretty much cloud free.
The Gulf of Tehuantepec remains calm and the forecast is for light to moderate winds over the 3-day forecast period.
With not much happening in our hood, looking now north to the west coast of America where there is a very cold weather maker low sitting off the coast of Washington this morning. It is forecast to drop south along the west coast today and tomorrow.
This morning rain is starting the northern California. They can expect to see light rain in the valleys and light snow down to around 2500 feet today and tomorrow.
The system will have moved south by tomorrow night with high pressure filling in the wake.
In southern California it will remain mild and dry today however tomorrow the low and the associated very cold front will have arrived in southern California bringing light rain to the coast and snow to the higher elevations and the deserts. They should see lingering light showers though Sunday morning.
Of note, by the time this system reaches southern California most of the moisture will be gone.
Looking now over to the southwest where it will be dry and mild today with just a few light snow flurries possible in the east central mountains tonight. The Pacific storm will arrive late tomorrow into Saturday bringing gusterly winds, much colder temperatures and a chance of rain and snow showers over the weekend.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks right now that the Sea of Cortez will continue to see moderate winds over the 3-day forecast period. Saturday the winds are forecast to pick up to around 20 along the East Cape but La Paz should stay in the moderate ranges on Saturday.
Here are the details. The northern Sea light to moderate winds for the next 3 days. Today NW,then with a southern flavor tomorrow, then back to the NW on Saturday.
The central Sea in general light to moderate northerlies over the 3-day forecast period. The Guaymas area of the Sonoran coast should see very light westerly winds tomorrow.
The southern Sea from around Puerto Escondido to La Paz will see moderate northerlies today, light SW tomorrow and back to the moderate northerlies on Saturday.
The East Cape will go the full spectrum. Moderate today, light tomorrow and strong to 20 knots on Saturday.
Overnight lows continued to drop a few degrees last night in most locations around the Sea, and the daytime highs yesterday in the Sea also dipped a few degrees from the day before. The exception was the cape where La Paz is starting Carnaval today. They should see 80 again today with the lows this evening in the mid 50s.
In general the highs in the Sea today will be in the mid to high 70s along with abundant sunshine.

73s Y’all
