Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that we have had another day of cloudless skies after a few fluffys floating around the Sea yesterday morning blew out.
The Pineapple Express is still dragging clouds out of the Eastern Pacific basin and sending them across the cape region and the Riviera this morning and it looks like this will continue all day. Manzanillo south looks to be cloud free this morning.
Further south there will be a full blown Tehuantepecker going on in the Gulf later today with 50 mph winds forecast until tomorrow morning when the are forecast to drop back to just minimal gale force winds around 35 knots.
Looking out into the Eastern Pacific basin this morning I can see there are abundant clouds out there for the Pineapple Express to tap into.
That’s what is gong on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America of America at the top of this image Seattle is experiencing some freezing drizzle this morning however the rest of the west coast is dry albeit cold today.
The strong high pressure aloft will remain anchored near the west coast will be bringing dry and very stable condition to the west for the rest of the week.
It looks like the entire west coast will remain cold, with sub freezing overnight lows until Friday when it’s forecast to start a warming trend along the west coast.
In southern California it will remain dry, cold, and gusterly into the weekend.
Looking now over to the southwest where a warming trend will continue across the region today as high pressure aloft builds across the area. Afternoon highs and overnight lows will return to normal by the weekend with slightly above normal values expected next week. Dry weather will prevail through at least the end of next week.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the fence we will continue to see gale force NW winds in the Sea for one more day. That good news may be tempered by the forecast that is forecasting 20 knot winds to continue into the weekend. That’s 4-5 days out but all the models I’ve looked at are showing 15-20 knot winds this weekend.
Today the northern Sea will continue to see 30 knot winds diminishing to just above 20 tomorrow and just below 20 on Friday.
The central Sea pretty much the same thing with the 30 knot winds today, mid 20s tomorrow and around 20 knots on Friday.
The southern Sea the mid to high 20s today diminishing to the mid teens for Thursday and Friday.
The outside passage should see strong winds to around 24 knots all along the outside today diminishing to the mid teens for Thursday and Friday.
The Mexican Riviera Mazatlan to Cabo Corrienties mid to high teens today with a mix of whispys and fluffys passing over, then light the rest of the 3-day forecast period. Manzanillo south light to moderate southerlies for the 3-day forecast period.
