Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that that moisture plume off the west coast of Baja sent a mix of high whispys and moisture laden fluffys over mostly the central Sea and to a lesser extent the southern Sea yesterday and last evening.
This morning there is not much left of the plume and it wall be passing over the same area this morning.
A southern jet has appeared this morning and will be transporting more cloudiness over the Sea from an active region along the ITCZ/Monsoon trough around 115W. Right now it looks like these will be whispys and we should start to see them later today in the central and southern Sea.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera where it looks like they will see a few high whispys passing over from time to time today
Further south at the Gulf of Tehuantepec a major Tehuantepecker is expected to begin later this evening with the first storm force winds of the season. 50+ knot winds are on tap for tomorrow morning with 15-20 ft seas in the Gulf. The winds should abate to gale force by Saturday and the winds event should be over by Sunday.
That’s what is gong on in our hood, so looking now north to the west coast of America of America where as I mentioned earlier a significant storm is expect to arrive in the Great Northwest bringing heavy rain, two to three feet of high elevation snow and winds to 60 knots along the coastal area starting today.
The southern edge of this storm will arrive in Northern California this evening and bring rain and snow to northern California this evening into tomorrow. An active weather pattern will continue into the weekend as additional storm systems roll through the area. The bay area could see 5-6 inches of rain by Sunday.
In southern California cold and dry air will remain over the region tonight with frost warnings posted in many locations. Friday will warm a little before the next system is forecast to take aim on southern California Sunday and Monday bringing rain to the valleys and deserts and snow to the mountains. Right now it looks like drier conditions will then develop for Christmas day and Wednesday.
Looking now over to the southwest where they can expect much colder temperatures this morning behind a departing storm system. High pressure will keep mostly sunny skies and dry conditions in place through the weekend. Another low pressure system will move through the region early next week bringing a chance of valley rain and mountain snow Monday and Christmas day.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence strong winds will continue to blow in the entire Sea of Cortez today.
In the northern Sea today the NW winds will be in the mid 20s. Tomorrow and Saturday the winds will diminish to the mid teens.
The central Sea today the NW winds will be in the mid to high 20s tomorrow around 20 and Saturday the mid teens.
The southern Sea today ballpark around 22-23 knot gusts, tomorrow mid teens and then Saturday around 20 again.
The outside passage will see light to moderate NW winds for the entire passage over the 3-day forecast period.
The Mexican Riviera will see mostly light NW winds today and tomorrow picking up to the mid teens on Saturday.
Temperature-wise the wind chill will with these strong winds will make the Temperature feel like it is in the low to mid 50s today. Out of the wind today’s highs in the Sea will be in the low 70s today.

73s Y’all
