Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the main body of moisture plume that has been with us for the past several days has moved south and is now centered over the southern crossing with fairly heavy overcast from there south to around Manzanillo.
Looking back at the Sea, actually out to the west of Baja peninsula I can see another lighter plume of whispys moving our way. These look much lighter than those passing over yesterday so it should not effect our solar energy production.
Both these plumes are not very deep and could be gone by late this evening. We’ll see?
Looking now south to the Gulf of Tehuantepec where a cold front entering the NW Gulf of Mexico will give cause to increase the gradient across the Tehuantepec isthmus binging winds to 15-20 knots today through early next week. They are forecast to reach gale force by late Wednesday into Thursday’
Looking now at the ITCZ/Monsoon trough where there is a lot of convection building along the zone all the way out to around 160 this morning. These clouds are then moving off the zone and are caught up in West/east flow in the basin and drift toward Baja and the Mexican mainland in the from of broken moisture plumes.
That’s what is going on in our hood, so looking now north to the west coast of America where at the top of this image northern Washington is still getting wet every day and snow is accumulating in the Cascades. The forecast if for that to continue all week.
Northern California will have to wait until Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning to see any rain. There is currently a nice low lurking in the Gulf of Alaska that will start to drop south tomorrow. This is a fairly cold system and snow levels will drop to around 3000 feet as the storm passes.
Southern California could see some rain from this system Wednesday night into Thursday. In the meantime it will remain very foggy along the coast and a minor Santa Ana wind event today will keep things very gusterly. Strong winds and Red Flag warnings have been posted for southern California through tomorrow night.
Looking now over to the southwest where a cold front is moving down from the Great Basin into New Mexico this afternoon. This should bring snow to the White Mountains and freezing temperatures to SW Arizona tonight with a hard freeze for many locations on Tuesday morning. It will also bring windy conditions to the southwest for the next couple of days.
Another stronger system is forecast to bring valley rain and mountains snow late Thursday into Friday.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence our great weekend will continue through this evening. Tomorrow the winds will start to develop in the northern Sea and spread to the central sea by the afternoon. Monday and Tuesday the northern and central see will see strong NW winds, then the rest of the week, right now, it looks like its back to the moderate ranges.
So today for the northern Sea: the winds will be in the moderate ranges in the mid teens. Tomorrow around 25 then on Tuesday the high teens.
The central Sea today: light to moderate NE winds. Tomorrow strong NW winds to around 25 then on Tuesday ballpark around 20 from the NW.
The southern Sea today: light Winds tomorrow strong NW to around 20 knots and then Tuesday a bit less than 20.
The Mexican Riviera today: very moderate NW winds picking up to around 15 knots tomorrow and then Tuesday back to the low to mid teens.
The outside passage will continue to see moderate NW winds over the 3-day forecast period.

Temperatures continue to cool down. By the end of the month the overnight lows as well as the daytime highs here in the cove will dip 10 degrees to the mid 50s overnight and mid to the high 60s low 70s during the day..
Today the central Sea will see daytime highs in the low to mid 70s. The southern Sea the mid 70s. The Mexican Riviera will continue to see daytime highs in the mid 80s.
