Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that 3 small fluffys passed over the Sea in the past 24 hours. So in general the skies have been pretty much cloud free again.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera I can see that the ITCZ/Monsoon trough has contused to be very active again this morning producing a lot of clouds that are drifting east toward the mainland. From just south of Cabo Corrienties there has been either partial or total overcast for the past 24 hours south to around Acapulco from these clouds.
Embedded within the Monsoon trough this morning there are 4 lows including sister Rosa, our latest late season tropical storm. She has been meandering for the past 24 hours and most of the models are suggesting she meander a bit south today. She has about another 48 hours before she finally dies.
A bit further south the winds have abated in the Gulf of Tehuantepec and are now forecast to be less than 20 for the 3-day forecast period.
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where the storm door is open for the Great Northwest. They have a wet system moving through the area today and I can see another one off shore that will bring more rain during the weekend.
Northern California will be clearing this morning with yesterday’s storm moving off to the east. They can expect to see dry weather with a warming trend into next week.
Southern California may get a little drizzle as the last of the system moves off to the east this morning. High pressure will rebuild over California for the weekend and the first part of the work week bringing warmer temperatures to the southland, as much as 10 degrees higher than today.
Looking now over to the southwest where that California system will be passing though to the north and cool the southwest down a degree or two today. As high pressure rebuilds over the region it will warm back up again and the temperatures in the lower deserts will break into the 90s at times next week.
That’s what’s happening to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence looking first what the Ha-Haers are doing. Well it’s party time today for the 147 boat flotilla, with the annual potluck party all day on the beach. Tomorrow they take off again for the start of leg two to Bahia Santa Maria where they will spend another three days. Moderate NW winds are forecast for this leg.
Back on this side of the Baja peninsula we can expect to see another delightful day and tomorrow with a little change in our weather on Sunday .
The forecast for the northern Sea is light northerlies today, moderate northerlies tomorrow, and strong northerlies on Sunday.
The Sonoran coast south to Guaymas for the next 3 days the same pattern except from the NW.
The central Sea, Baja side, from San Franciscito Bay to Concepción Bay moderate northerlies for the 3-day forecast period.
The Puerto Escondido area should see moderate southerlies for the 3-day forecast period.
For the rest of the southern sea, southern winds, light today, just a tad higher tomorrow, say around 10 knots, then around 15 on Sunday afternoon.
So in general a bit gusterly in the northern Sea on Sunday and the rest of the Sea damn pleasant for the next 3 days.
Temperatures will be in the mid to high 80s today.
