Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that the Sea has been pretty much cloud free for the past 24 hours. The extreme northern Sea has had some whispys passing over it for the past 24 hours. They have just about run their course so sunshine is on tap for the entire Sea today.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera, where the winter migration of cruisers to warmer waters has already started. Sunny skies with moderate NW winds are on tap for today.
Looking a bit further south to the Tehuantepec where 25 knot winds were reported early this morning but should abate to around 20 today and around 10-15 Thursday and Friday.
Looking out into the Eastern Pacific basin the ITCZ/Monsoon trough is quite active this morning with lots of thunderbumper working along the zone.
Nothing cooking in our tropical kitchen this morning. It doesn’t look like anything is on the horizon for the rest of the month. Further south, tropical storm Sandy in the Caribbean will be bringing heavy rain to Central American.
That’s what is going on in our hood, so looking now north to the west coast of America where a cold storm has moved into the Great Northwest bringing snow to the cascades and the Sierras. Snow has blanketed the Lake Tahoe area and they are talking about skiing on Halloween.
Rainfall in the foothills and valleys has been light to moderate in northern California.
No rain in Southern California but it will be windy today. A little bit of Santa Ana action in the La Basin.
Extreme southern California will also be gusterly until the low moves through to the east probably on Thursday. A bit windy for the start of the Ha Ha. Ensenada is forcasting 20 knot NW today and Pt. San Quinten around 30 knots today diminishing tomorrow to the high 20s.
Looking now over to the southwest where it will remain dry and warm into the weekend where the temperatures will climb to near 90. In the meantime it will be in the 80s with periods of some high clouds.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence we should see one more day of pleasant, in general NW winds before the northerlies kick in with gusterly conditions for the rest of the 3-day forecast period.
The northern Sea today could see some 20 knot winds today. A bit more tomorrow and around 30 on Friday.
The central Sea today from around San Franciscito bay to Puerto Escondido moderate winds today, picking up a bit tomorrow and in the high 20s on Friday...
The southern Sea light to moderate today, ballpark 10-12. Picking up tomorrow to the high teens and then low 20s on Friday.
Long range it looks like the pressure will equalize this weekend resulting in light to moderate northerlies.
