Voice to Text---
.Before looking down into the Sea this morning I have a Rock and Roll report from La Paz. Yesterday afternoon at 4:45 there was a 6.2 earthquake around 75 miles SW of La Paz. Twenty minutes later there was a 4.6 rumbler 24 miles north of La Paz and 120 minutes later a 4.8 after shock a little father out in the Sea.
Disaster officials in La Paz are reporting no damage to buildings however school will be closed today as the schools are inspected for damage.
So endith the earthquake report.
Now looking down into the Sea this morning, I can see that sister Miriam has spared a blanket of clouds over the southern and central Sea to around San Franciscito bay, perhaps a little further north. It looks like that will continue today.
I can see there has been a few thumpers here and there on the peninsula, especially at the extreme cape region.
Looking south along the Mexican Riviera where there has been very little thunderbumper activity until you get to the Tehuantepec and south.
Now looking in our Tropical Kitchen this morning. It looks like sister Miriam is falling apart. Instead of a cat 4 storm that was forecast several days ago for Wednesday, we have Miriam plutoed now to a tropical storm.
Looking at the forecast models, the consensus is that Miriam will do about the same thing that the last two tropical storm did when they reached this region and poop out. There are a few of the tracks that still show Miriam moving over the Baja peninsula, but the majority are showing it turing west and dying a remnant low out there. Now don’t chisel this in stone. Miriam has not followed the plan so far. Let’s wait and see what she does today and following the plan would be to be a tropical storm today then become depressed tomorrow. We’ll see?
We have another item to put on a burner in our Tropical Kitchen
this morning. That Tropical Wave did make it across Mexico and found a lonely low to stimulate a couple hindered miles SW of Acapulco. This will most likely become our next tropical storm in a couple of days. So far it was not been designated as an invest. That should happen later today. I can’t see any Tropical Waves headed our way so this could be the last hurrah for the season. We’ll see?
That’s what is going on in our hood. Looking now north to the west coast of America where a low has pushed the high off to the east and warmed up the west coast. Most of the cities will see a 8-10 degree increase in their afternoon temperatures by this weekend. Then the high is forecast to rebuild and cool things back down a bit, more in line with late September norms.
Looking over to the southwest where a storm moving through the Rockies will allow cooler weather to filter into the southwest with slightly below average temperatures into the weekend. It’s now a bit iffy if moisture to the south will move into Arizona by this weekend as advertized.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the Baja side of the northern Sea will see moderate southerlies today and tomorrow then moderate NW winds.
The central Sea moderate southerlies today and tomorrow then Friday brisk to strong southerlies.
The southern Sea moderate NE today, tomorrow brisk to strong southerlies and then Friday moderate westerly’s .
Temperatures should be in the mid 90s today.

73s Y’all
