Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning in either the IR or the 24 hour loop. No clouds in this sky for the past 24 hour over the Sea. There was a few hot cells develop over the coastal mountains yesterday afternoon, but that was it for the Sea of Cortez.
Looking south: a thunderbumper developed just east of Mazatlan early this morning and is currently moving toward the coast moving into open water south of Mazatlan.
Cabo Corrienties was clear but south of that there has been numerous strong cells build overnight over land. and move slowly westward and now most are over open water.
The ITCZ/Monsoon trough is only moderately active this morning.
Looking now in our Tropical Kitchen: We have hurricane Lane well out in the Pacific. Still a cat 1 storm, but now in colder waters her days are numbered. She will continue moving pretty much due west and most likely be plutoed to a tropical depression within 24 hours.
The remnants of tropical storm Kristy are well off the Baja coast. There is still considerable cloudiness in this remnant low. This image is showing a light broken plume moving from there north toward southern California.
So, not much going on in our hood, so looking now north to the west coast of America where even less is going on. High pressure is keeping temperatures along seasonal norms. No storms. No threat of any storms. Seasonal fog along the coast that will burn off by mid morning. That’s it for the coast.
Looking over to the southwest: Every morning I bring up a National Weather Service product that radio stations and TV stations can use. Normally is quite detailed and fairly long. This morning for the Tucson area they gave a one line forecast. “HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL BRING MOSTLY DRY CONDITIONS AND SEASONABLY WARM DAYTIME TEMPERATURES THIS WEEK.” That was it.
Not much you can add to that so that looks like what is going on to the north of us.
Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the northern crossing will be having the strongest winds again today. The rest of the Sea all in the moderate ranges. The Bay of La to San Franciscito bay should be seeing 12-15 knot northerlies for the 3-day forecast period. It looks like a couple more days of these moderate northerlies.
