Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that yesterday afternoon there were several cells develop and have short lives along the coastal mountains from around Puerto Escondido north.
Early yesterday afternoon as sister Kristy started moving north, west of the cape, cloudiness from this system started spreading over first southern Baja then central Baja late in the afternoon. Currently it looks like from around Santa Rosalia south to the cape there is overcast skies. Water vapor imagery is showing these clouds to be fairly wet so showers are certainly possible.
From around Santa Rosalia north right now the IR image is showing clear skies north to the Fence.
Sonora has some thunderbumper activity yesterday but the general flow was to the east and northern drifted into the Sea.
Looking south to the Mexican Riviera where there was a few thumpers quickly build and dissipate yesterday afternoon and last night.
Our Tropical Kitchen this morning has two items. The first is a wanna-be low about 1000 miles WSW of the cape that if forecast to spin up into a depression later this morning and probably a tropical storm later today or tomorrow. No matter what the development is, it will have little affect on Baja weather. I say little because the water vapor imagery is showing a long moisture plume emanating from this system and feeding sister Kristy to the north.
She has continued to follow her forecast path and move NW along the Baja west coast. Today’s forecast is for this track to continue as she moves into cooler waters and slows down. She should start winding down tomorrow and be a remnant low in around 36 hours. Meantime lots of clouds and possible showers over Baja.
That’s what is going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where high pressure is keeping things warm over the west. In general it is hot and dry.
Southern California will have another hot day. Sunday should see some cooling. Not much change in the forecast for next week.
Looking now over to the southwest where they will have another hot and dry day today. There should be a bit less wind today than yesterday.
Not much change in the forecast for the next 7 days.
That’s what is gong on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like the northern Sea will see moderate northerlies for the next 3 days.
From around the Bay of San Franciscito south today moderate southerlies Sunday and MONday moderate northerelies.
The East Cape brisk northerlies for the 3-day forecast period.
Temperatures today will be in the low to mid 90s
