Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that in general the Sea was pretty much free of any cloudiness yesterday.
This image is not showing any thunderbumpers working along the Baja coastal mountains or along the coast either yesterday or last night.
All the thunderbumper activity took place in the southern crossing and south to around Manzanillo. There is currently a cell building over Los Mochas. Most locations south of La Paz had rain accumulations for yesterday afternoon. Puerto Panesco also reported rain.
Looking now in the Tropical Kitchen where yesterday just after I finished with the weather invest 90 echo was upgraded to a tropical depression and then at 2:30 in the afternoon it was upgraded to a tropical storm.
She is currently west of Manzanillo, south of the cape and headed NW. Tomorrow she should be due west of the cape out several hundred miles and this weekend become depressed well west of Mag Bay out around 120.
The forecast model maps now seem to be pretty much in agreement that Kristy will pretty much follow the path of the last 4 storms we have had this season. That being said there are a few wild hairs that show Kristy hooking back over Baja over the weekend. Even though the official National Hurricane Center model is showing this not happening, it can not be discounted.
That’s pretty much what is happening in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America weather-wise.
Building high pressure along the west coast is causing the temperatures to rise in most of the coastal and inland cities in California.
Southern California will see dense fog along the coast clearing my mid morning the hot afternoons through Saturday. Sunday the high is forecast to weaken allowing on shore flow and cool the southland back to seasonal norms. No showers are expected through next week.
Looking now over to the southwest where there will still be enough moisture for a few mountain thunderbumper today. They can expect gusterly winds this afternoon and tonight into tomorrow morning. Dry conditions will then prevail across most of the region into next week.
That’s what’s going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like both sides of the northern Sea will see brisk to strong NW winds today.
The central Sea the strongest winds will be along the Sonoran coast. The rest moderate NW winds.
Puerto Escondido south it looks like mostly moderate southerlies today and tomorrow with light to moderate westerlies on Saturday.
That being said; one of the models I use as a reference model,
SailFlow, that is most of the time in agreement with the buoy weather, is forecasting strong winds from the northern crossing south tomorrow and very strong winds on Saturday. I’m looking at this as an anomaly as none of the other 4 models I looked at this morning show this occurring.
Temperatures today will be in the low to mid 90s
